Call of the Full Moon

Enchantment — Aura

Enchant creature

Enchanted creature gets +3/+2 and has trample. (It can deal excess combat damage to defending player or planeswalker while attacking.)

At the beginning of each upkeep, if a player cast two or more spells last turn, sacrifice Call of the Full Moon.

Good cards? Even if we get some bad cards, if we get a commander for it I'm 100% switching my Ulrich flavour deck to black, even if it means I have to make my first Werewolf cuts ever in it. Might be enough for Call of the Full Moon to finally get pushed out of the deck.

Thanks DRmagic2017.

The numerous Garruks available are strong contenders for both card draw and token generation, and I'll probably drop Chandra for Garruk, Caller of Beasts for the goal of card advantage. As for Garruk Relentless  Flip, I'm probably going to include him as part of the token theme. The token theme in turn complements Eldrazi Monument, which is both flavorful and offers an answer to fliers (though I expect I'll need more than just that). Continuing with tokens, Second Harvest and Parallel Lives seem like good inclusions, though I'll probably have to make a proxy if I want to run Doubling Season. Burgeoning is also nice, I just forgot to include it. I may add in a Cultivate to complement it and thin my deck of lands even more. Call of the Full Moon is definitely getting dropped for the Curse. Thanks again!

Werewolf pack in EDH? Great! Try to add Burgeoning and Lurking Predators (really useful in multiplayer), Parallel Lives and Second Harvest (for your wolf tokens), Garruk Relentless  Flip (another token generator). I would also recommend to replace Call of the Full Moon with Curse of Stalked Prey. In this case you'd better add Doubling Season too - useful both for tokens and counters. But it depends on your budget of course. And by the way what are you going to do with flying creatures?

clayperceSorry I forgot to mention. Potentially Brute Strength or the better Call of the Full Moon being a better replacement for Aim High. Granted I'm running both, but if I had to choose it would be Call of the Full Moon

Trev8120,
Thanks much for all the gameplay info!

I'm not sure what you mean about Brute Strength ... I'm not running it in this deck. Still, it's great to hear you've been able to get Call of the Full Moon working for you!

I'll check out your deck for sure.

Thanks again.

So, I have a few problems with this deck. I actually built something similar to this decl to play at FNM on the 22nd, last friday that just passed. When up against Bant and a few other stronger eldrazi decks, it just didn't hold up. After it was over I purchased a few cards, and seems to be doing alot better now. Like you I was running Ulvenwald Captive  Flip and Vildin-Pack Outcast  Flip, but I switched those out because they weren't really worth the time playing them. You pretty much never flip them with manual mana because it cost way to much, and you would hope for a Waxing Moon and never to get it. When you did get a waxing moon and flipped one of these cards, it wasn't worth it. The same can be said for Conduit of Storms  Flip. It just doesn't seem to fit in the deck properly. So I did some adequate tweaking and work on my werewolves deck and came out with a better one then started.Granted, I added some non werewolves, but they are more then worth it. SO i took out Vildin-Pack Outcast  Flip and Ulvenwald Captive  Flip and replaced them with a few things. Im running 2 Kessig Prowler  Flip because they are easy 1 mana for a 2/1. Im also running 3 Ulrich of the Krallenhorde  Flip because him and Arlinn Kord  Flip work so well together, like Yin and Yang. Im running a playlet of Sylvan Advocate and a few Tireless Tracker. The trackers aren't necessary, just nice to have. I have also found a better card then Brute Strength as a buff. Granted Brute Strength is an instant, and this is a Enchantment/Aura, but in a way its a better deal. Brute Strength is a temporary +3/+1 and trample on target creature, however, Call of the Full Moon is a permanent +3/+2 and trample on enchanted creature, and cost the same Converted mana cost as Brute Strength does. Now, there is a downside to it, if a player cast two or more spells, then you have to sacrifice it, however, its uncommon for that to happen and not a big deal because all your werewolves will switch back anyway. Also, I have been trying to find a place in my deck where I can run Moonlight Hunt, but haven't found anywhere yet, could potentially be good if i cast enough creatures. But considering it is a werewolves aggro deck, I don't see a problem in that at all. My deck has been much better since my upgrade in it, but then again, I wasn't running any eldrazi.

Try taking a look at my version of this deck, minus the eldrazi. Maybe one day ill add eldrazi though, who knows. R/G Wolves/Werewolves

My opinion about the Were-drazi softened to the point where I might consider giving them a shot in my deck even though they don't really fit the Werewolf flavour theme I'm going for at all(I'm trying to go full flavour and am playing even Call of the Full Moon). I think the card I'm most excites for in EMN for this deck is probably Savage Alliance, I like the flavour of it, I like the escalate mechanic but mostly I want to surprise give someone else trample at some point. I also think Waxing Moon might be better than my first reaction at least in EDH, looking through my deck I actually don't have a ton of trample granting stuff, so even though it's only for one turn a little redundancy is great, especially with how heavy on the creature type buffing I am.
