Creature — Wurm

Cards I would suggest to add in for right now would be Foul Orchard, Temple of Malady, 4 forests, 3 swamps, Arcane Lighthouse, Butcher of Malakir, Dictate of Erebos, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Elvish Mystic, Burnished Hart, Brood Monitor, Terastodon, Murder, and Krosan Grip. Cards I would suggest taking out for those are Tasigur, the Golden Fang, Warden of the First Tree, Broodhunter Wurm, Canopy Gorger, Geyserfield Stalker, Giant Mantis, Herald of the Pantheon, Reaver Drone, Saddleback Lagac, Shambling Attendants, Tajuru Pathwarden, Woodland Wanderer, Zulaport Chainmage, Hedron Crawler, Elemental Uprising, Lead by Example, Gladehart Cavalry, Swell of Growth, and Jaddi Offshoot. I know that's a long list of cuts and adds but you have a lot of cards in here hat aren't relevant to what this deck is trying to do so I would suggest cutting those first :). Also wondering what's your budget like? Because there are a few cards I want to suggest but I'm not sure if they're too expensive or not so let me know about that and what you think about my suggestions.

If you are going to put From Beyond in your deck, put a few Endless Ones in there. Also, why Broodhunter Wurm? Use Terra Stomper instead. It is big and doesn't cost a lot.

mattoit, good call on increasing tokens for the Vile Redeemer. How many Vile Redeemers would you go with, 2? I agree Broodhunter Wurm might be the first to go too.

Hi Cytotoxic! new player here as well, but i would add 2 Blisterpod, 2 Carrier Thrall, maybe adding Nantuko Husk as sac outlet without having every time to pay for voracious null and maximize Vile Redeemer etb effect...i would cut Broodhunter Wurm, Voracious Null, Stalking Drone..if anyone who knows more than me can help it would be great, thanks!

Cut the things that arent relevant, like Deathless Behemoth, Broodhunter Wurm, include the retreats, and maybe an Omnath, Locus of Rage.

Your curve is fairly low, so you don't need ramp like Lifespring Druid and Whisperer of the Wilds (though mana fixing with artifacts like Golgari Signet might be ok), and in a format like EDH, you don't want cards that don't impact the game. Broodhunter Wurm, Grim Guardian, and Touch of Moonglove are generally not that good. If you'd like to capitalize more on Varolz, the Scar-Striped, I'd try to fit in more high-power low CMC creatures and/or creatures that you really want to scavenge onto. For example, Polukranos, World Eater gives you a good CMC to power rate and a solid ability, Avatar of the Resolute has good synergy and is well-costed. Even things like Boon Satyr, Fleshbag Marauder/Merciless Executioner and such are decent, and provide valuable effects that happen to also put a reasonable costed amount of power onto the board. I'd try to avoid the auras you're using. They are pretty low impact, and open you up to two-for-ones which hurts a lot against the meta you mentioned of blue and black decks that often just look to kill your guys or drown you in card advantage. The two non-auras seem good though.

I have a Tiny Leaders deck that uses Varolz, the Scar-Striped. It is a different format, but can help give an idea of what type of thing goes well with him.

Good luck!

I understand that this deck is just made from draft cards, so of course it can't be perfect, but... With an effectless creature like Broodhunter Wurm, you really want it's combined Power and Toughness to be atleast double its converted manacost. By the same logic, Reckless Cohort isn't a good card either as it's got a negative effect and so is worth less.

Generally I'd say, if your 1 cost creature is objectively worse than Eager Cadet, don't play it. If a two cost is objectively worse than Grizzly Bears, don't play it. Call it the bear-test or something. Cards worse than a bear are usually not worth playing.

Other than that, I don't think I have any real comments about the deck.
