Yes! There are far too many tapped lands. I will definitely drop barren moor to 1 (which I already have done in my paper version of this deck) and evolving wilds to 3. I don't think quicksand is a good idea... I used to use that land but being colorless is just such a drawback for this deck that I would definitely never run more than 2.
I like the idea of mana elves a lot! I think they'd help the deck out for sure. Maybe I should run Elves of Deep Shadow as I seem tight on black mana a lot. I really should update this deck as the version I'm using is way better than what's up there right now. I've added Raven's Crime and Rootgrapple as well as one copy of Black Poplar Shaman
The only absurd thing about your comment is recommending me to drop Bosk Banneret !!! They consistently allow me to pull off some insane stuff with the deck as I can often cast Tilling Treefolk for one mana which is totally nuts. I love casting two bosks in one turn for 3 mana, and then getting out a Wickerbough Elder and his ability for 3 total mana the next turn.
Dropping Jaddi might be useful, she's only there to help counteract life loss from Street Wraith which is now unnecessary because in the latest version of this deck I have dropped the wraiths. They caused a lot of unnecessary life loss without much benefit and unearth doesn't work on them. I also stopped using Weed-Pruner Poplar because he was so expensive and very susceptible to lightning but you're right, once there's a few of them out they can become really useful. Since this deck is built for kitchen table magic I'm not going to have a sideboard, but if I did it would definitely have weed pruners in it :)

Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper is not a Treefolk, but she can definitely help you out; your high-toughness creatures will give you lots of life when they swing. Tower Defense gives you protection from flyers, and if you have Assault Formation on the field, it essentially gives all of your guys +5/+5 until the end of the turn for 2 at instant speed, which is insane. Behind the Scenes is basically a cheaper (and sometimes better) version of Cover of Darkness for this deck. Orchard Warden is essentially doubling your lifegain here, which is always good. Black Poplar Shaman is one of the better black Treefolk, up there with Fendeep Summoner. I'd recommend Harmonize, Sign in Blood, and Read the Bones for card draw and Brave the Sands to make your Treefolk wall even more impenetrable. Also, if you want more tribal boosts, consider cards like Metallic Mimic.
Now for cards that you can afford to take out! Maelstrom Pulse is not really great here for two reasons: 1, it's expensive, and 2, it's not ideal for Commander since every deck can only run one of each card. The removal that you already have should be plenty. Argothian Treefolk is really not that great unless you have a friend or person in your playgroup who always runs artifacts, and even then, it's a little too specific to be worth a spot in your deck. Black Oak of Odunos is okay, but it can probably be removed to make room for stronger cards. Tilling Treefolk is like Argothian Treefolk; too specific to be useful in these circumstances.
Good luck in your deckbuilding endeavors!

With your Treefolk theme, have you considered Conspiracy?
If you decide to go this Treefolk route even further with Conspiracy, you could add cards like:
I know those last three were already suggested, but maybe could be looked over again with Conspiracy added into the mix. Just a few ideas.

MANA BASE:Your average converted mana cost is low enough that you could probably go down to 36 lands. If you have any of the newer BFZ or SOI duel lands or any pain lands, adding those could help with fixing. Also consider making the following changes:
out: Drifting Meadow, in: Command Tower
out: Forest and Swamp and Plains, in: Blighted Woodland and Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse
out: Secluded Steppe, in: Buried Ruin
out: Lotus Petal, in: Chromatic Lantern
A few ramp spells could prove useful, although I found that in 1v1 you won't need as many as in a multiplayer situation, maybe about 4-6. If you own any of these you may want to think about adding a few:
MAIN DECK:Here are a few ideas for changes and my reason why:
out: Darksteel Myr, in: Abzan Beastmaster (since you will always have the highest toughness, the addition card draw will give you alot of advantage)
out: Gurmag Swiftwing, in: Courser of Kruphix (ramp and life gain)
out: Nahiri, the Lithomancer, in: Open the Armory or Stonehewer Giant or Steelshaper's Gift (Nahiri is good, but I think fetching for whichever equipment you need is more effective)
out: Duneblast, in: Aligned Hedron Network (Duneblast's cost is too high for the speed of 1v1 play and Aligned Hedron Network won't effect your creatures)
out: Dispatch, in: Sylvan Scrying (Dispatch is kinda meh for removal. Sylvan Scrying will let you fetch Rogue's Passage which could allow you to attack for the win)
out: Brave the Sands, in: Behind the Scenes (Making your all creatures unblockable with skulk seems strong)
out: Animate Dead, in: Black Poplar Shaman (you can Black Poplar Shaman more than once)
out: Pestilence, in: Wave of Reckoning (Pestilence doesn't seem very strong to me outside of a mono-black deck)

I love obscure tribal decks, but I feel like you could do better with some of the Treefolk - Battlewand Oak and Cloudcrown Oak, and to a lesser extent Black Poplar Shaman and Weed-Pruner Poplar, seem underwhelming. I'm not saying they're bad in a tribal deck that produces gobs of mana, but there's a couple more powerful treefolk I'd recommend putting in instead. Nemata, Grove Guardian, Ghoultree, Fendeep Summoner, Weatherseed Treefolk, and Ebony Treefolk would all be worth consideration. You could also cut some of the noncreatures to add these to increase the chances of Colfenor proccing. Finally, I really think your deck needs boardwipe of some kind - it's a necessity in Commander to have at least one or two outs in case someone is doing something more ridiculous than you are. Languish is good because it's somewhat one-sided for you, but you probably want something like Life's Finale and/or Nevinyrral's Disk as well. +1 from me!
