As a tangentially related question, what would make a wall legendary? In the game, there's only Pramikon, Sky Rampart , which appears to be essentially magical. On Earth, we have, off the top of my head, the Great Wall of China, the Berlin Wall, the Walls of Jericho, and the Walls of Constantinople. There's probably more. Does any plane have any big, important barriers like this? Great Wall , maybe, conveniently laid across the Aysen Highway .

Finally catching up on comments; sorry about the delay!

cdkime,
That's really neat on Anguished Unmaking ... I'd never really looked at the card, so thanks much!
I like the Hymn to Tourach, Bitterblossom (especially as a playmat), and Aysen Highway too. And yeah, I took your advice and looked up NeNe Thomas; wow!

Agent_Fire,
The Maelstrom, huh? I don't think I've ever seen the card. That's seriously cool!

KINGofORESKOS,
:-D

Gattison,
Believe it or not, I don't really have a favorite from Terese Nielsen, Seb McKinnon (though I do love his lighting), or Kev Walker. Bizarre, I know ...

Wesley Burt's Anguished Unmaking is one of the most powerful card arts I have ever seen. Sorin's pose is perfect--the way he cannot look at his creation, how he hangs his head in despair. How his mouth is slightly ajar with revulsion at what he had to do. The burning soul in Sorin's hand and on his blade. The blood on Avacyn's wings. The subtle hints of flame. The smoke as she becomes incorporeal. The cast down symbol of Avacyn in the lower left corner. Every detail on this card is perfectly designed to tell a tragic story, and make you truly feel the planeswalker's anguish.

Beyond that, I really enjoy the more classically medieval art found in some of the older sets--frankly, I think MTG's artists have been trying a bit too hard on the realism side of things, and would love to see a return to some of the more stylistic art of ancient days. In this older style, some notables are:

Neotrup on Magical Hack card question

In order to make Aysen Highway give green creatures plainswalk you would need Sleight of Mind. Using Magical Hack would let you make Aysen Highway give white creatures forestwalk.

Pieguy396 on Magical Hack card question

No, because Magical Hack says "one basic land type". You could make Aysen Highway give all green creatures plainswalk if you want, but you can't make it explicitly give only your creatures plainswalk. An easier way to counter his deck would be Virtue's Ruin, though, Aysen Highway is a pretty bad card.

JerichoDarkstar Oh Yes. Don't you know land walk was so overpowered they needed one for Plainswalk and Islandwalk too! Not Mountain or Forestwalk though. We just need cards to shut down Aysen Highway. Too OP

(And yes, They are also on the list. Help me!)
