Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation considerations
Cariddis, 8 years ago
This is the update for the last couple of sets. I decided to analyze them together because some cards required several testing.
The cards that I found interesting in Amonkhet are Harvest Season, Mouth / Feed, Prowling Serpopard, Champion of Rhonas and Vizier of the Menagerie.
Serpopard was included in the 99 in the blink of an eye; however, after some discussion among EDH players, I decided that the other cards weren't good enough to be included.
The good cards in Hour of Devastation are Uncage the Menagerie and Ramunap Excavator.
ramunap excavator sounds interesting, since it's a Crucible of Worlds that I can fetch with my shitload of tutors. The problem is that I should take out a 3 drop, and the ones currently in there are extremely good. I'll make some tests.
I'm really dubious about uncage, and that's because it costs A LOT for it to be able to tutor something relevant. I'll try it and see how it will go.
And that's it! Looking forward for Commander 2017 :D

Daedalus19876, 8 years ago
Now that Hour of Devastation has come out, I've updated this deck with some new cards.
Changes: Dusk Urchins, Zulaport Cutthroat, Garruk Relentless Flip, Birthing Pod, and Evolutionary Leap are out. Ammit Eternal, Obelisk Spider, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Driven / Despair, and Uncage the Menagerie are in!
I also updated the Primer - any thoughts?

I've worked on this deck a lot to get it to where it is. A lot of people originally told me how slow it is, especially for modern. While I understand that, I'm also new and here to have fun. Goldfishing this deck gets me lethal on turn 6, sometimes turn 5, when I was told it needed to be turn 3-4 to be viable. If you have any tips/advice on what I can do further to improve this deck in terms of speed, let me know! I feel it's in as good of a spot as it can be for a Modern Temur Dragons deck!
Jokeboard and 1v1 weakness(?)
KeelHaul10, 8 years ago
So I've officially made a sideboard full of cards that aren't legal in my deck (Odds / Ends, Goblin Bookie, Mana Screw, Dumb Ass) that I can ask every pregame if the other players would let me use them.
This deck's ability to perform in a 1v1 is hard to chart. Sometimes, I get nothing as my opponents pummel me with their entire deck, other times I get off a Chance Encounter + Frenetic Efreet junk combo if I'm in a pickle.
My goal is not to make coin flip tribal competitive, but rather fun to play for everyone involved. Multiplayer is where this deck thrives, though. Win or lose, any game I play with this baby is fun so I chalk it up as a win.

Cycling away a Forest

Added Desert of the Indomitable in place of a Forest. Another 2-mana cycler that's a land is well worth a slot in this deck.

Played once, feeling like a big batch of changes are needed. The deck wants more ways to make goblins and less ways to get rid of them. Adding some ways to get in with little green guys easier, and removing some of the more inconsistent/mana intensive ramp elements for some more synergy and more little green guys. -Mountain +Myriad Landscape -Goblin Lookout +Goblinslide -Goblin Bombardment +Goblin Offensive -Mana Geyser +Gauntlet of Power -Skirk Prospector +Frenzied Goblin -Faithless Looting +Outpost Siege -Burnished Hart +Sword of the Animist -Haunted Fengraf +Mountain -Fissure +Starstorm -Reckless Bushwhacker +Goblin Warrens -Eldrazi Monument +Break Through the Line
Adding more ramp, lifegain, and hexproof
