Like your take on Chatterfang, Motolinsky! Some cards that I included in my version that I didn't see in yours would be stuff like:
- Awaken the Woods: let's create some dryads, and some squirrels while we're at it (with Fang on the field).
- Banner of Kinship/Finale of Devastation: game over?
- Champion of Lambholt: can make your army unblockable pretty darn fast in a deck generating this many creatures. Also, becomes a bit of a behemoth herself.
- Circle of Dreams Druid/Jaheira, Friend of the Forest: that's a lot of mana!
- Mycoloth/Old Gnawbone: these get insane fast when combined with Chatterfang.
Hope you have fun with this brew!

This looks like a lot of fun, but aside from generating tokens (and I presume, attack with them) wouldn't you also want to benefit from them in some other way? Some ideas would include draw (through cards like Dark Prophecy, Mentor of the Meek or Skullclamp), boosting all the creatures on your side of the field with something like Cathars' Crusade or adding some more benefits to profit from their deaths with cards like Attrition, Blood Artist/Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim/Zulaport Cutthroat or Pitiless Plunderer.
Ow, in terms of more token-generation ideas, how about:
Hope the brew works out!

Current problems - Open to suggestions
37 Land Mana base:
-
Islands are needed but scarce. Shocklands are not considered due to power-level of my local store and friends group.
-
If I remove some basic lands in exchange for some (slow) dual lands, I could also drop Scrying Sheets to make room for cards on the maybeboard.
Slow cards / lackluster mid to late game
These cards could be removed in favor of maybeboard
-
Transcendent Master (less value than some cards on maybeboard)
-
Cradle of Vitality (Tutor-able, but costly draw compared to alternatives)
Maybeboard to consider
Way better synergies:
-
Azor, the Lawbringer for more control
-
Drogskol Reaver for better draw
-
Grand Abolisher for prison/control
-
Heliod, Sun-Crowned for more buffs & lifegain
-
Sphinx of the Revelation, which becomes a 3CMC flying/lifelink 3/5 with card draw
Deck currently lacks
-
Board wipes other than Ajani, Strength of the Pride
-
Single creature boosts like Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots or similar

I've seen people dabble with the Gitrog Monster with Heartless Summoning in modern. It's a lot of value for sure. With Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Tireless Tracker, Tireless Provisioner and Academy Manufactor you can basically play your entire deck if you can make the game last long enough.

Argy: Thanks for the suggestion.
One question first. Are you familiar with the Forgetful Fish format? If not, you can find the rules here: https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Forgetful_Fish.
In a nutshell, two players play with one deck and the attraction is the manipulation of the top cards of the deck in combination with a creature that is only good in certain situations.
In the Orgnial Forgetful Fish deck in blue with Dandan as a creature, there is also only one creature as a source of damage. I therefore want to completely do without planeswalkers and manlands.
I had already thought about the Shockland, since it helps to get the life points to ten or less. Caves of Koilos are also a very good addition.
But since I will only be proxying the deck anyway and both players will be playing with one deck anyway, most of the lands will probably just stay original duals

I have 2 gamechangers that can be taken out for lower brackets but Ive not gotten to use my The One ring yet and Fierce guardianship is so broken not to use. Myriad on Blade of Selves I don't think is going to work on Commander due to legend rule so Im going to cut it as well as Ride the Shoopuf and Ring of Kalonia which are slow and not really game changing.

, tap an untapped artifact you control: Create a 3/3 colorless golem artifact creature token.
, tap three untapped artifacts you control: Put a +1/+1 counter in each artifact creature you control.
Create a mono- legendary golem.
SniperFrog on Some cards showing incorrect TCGplayer …

Hello,
I've noticed a couple cards showing incorrect values from TCGplayer. Specifically, Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff and Dawn of a New Age, though there could be others. These two have values around three times their actual TCGplayer market value. Is this some sort of bug, or something that we'll just have to live with and account for in our calculations for budgets on our own?
I have my preferred vendor set to TCGplayer Low, if that matters, but it doesn't seem to affect what price is shown.
Thanks in advance,
SniperFrog

No worries Lycan! I still haven't tried splashing blue for ViVi, but I have been playing with a couple copies of Tersa Lightshatter hoping to help with card draw. It's ok, not great. I'm hoping something from the new set will help. I added some discard options in that seem to help get me some wins though. Intimidation Tactics and Ruthless Negotiation are great when you have a few wizards on the field and you can take a card from their hand and deal em damage at the same time. I've been shying away from cards like Electrostatic Infantry that will be rotating out soon. Did you play any other blue cards along with Vivi?

Tribal Enchantment — Goblin
Tap up to five untapped creatures you control: Create a Treasure token. Put a Work counter on each of those creatures.
(A creature with a Work counter on it gets +0/+1.)
"Every goblin gets a helmet. Whether they wear it or throw it in the furnace is up to them."
The idea is to put a number of creatures to work similarly to Convoke, in exchange for their service the creatures get a small buff. I decided +0/+1 would be reasonable especially since other cards could be designed to interact with Work counters.
Next: other places of work, like a Orzov bank, an aether refinery, etc.

FWIW if you can give your Commander Flash, like Emergence Zone you can cast her on an opponent's turn, letting you get the first card with Maralen (and thus getting out Opposition Agent). A quick search revealed only Vedalken Orrery and Winding Canyons as additional options, but I feel like giving Maralen Flash is incredible.

Is there any Update from ur side nowadays? I thought about including Malevolent Rumble instead of Aether Vial or Thrill of Possibility.
And Do you have a side Board guide? I always struggle with side boarding because of the combo we need to use a lot of cards are important and i dont See advantages of taking some cards out. Thank you in advance!

Rhadamanthus, to save you a click through to the article that I linked:
The reason I landed on the "does" = "attempts to do" side of this is I was convinced by the first dependency example that's in the CR:
(613.9) - Example: Two effects are affecting the same creature: one from an Aura that says
“Enchanted creature has flying” and one from an Aura that says “Enchanted creature loses
flying.” Neither of these depends on the other, since nothing changes what they affect or
what they’re doing to it. Applying them in timestamp order means the one that was
generated last “wins.” The same process would be followed, and the same result reached, if
either of the effects had a duration (such as “Target creature loses flying until end of turn”)
or came from a non-Aura source (such as “All creatures lose flying”)
This example is a perfect illustration that Wizards wants "does" = "attempts to do" and not "does" = "outcome". “Enchanted creature has flying” and “Enchanted creature loses flying.” is exactly an example where there would be a change to the outcome when you switch the order. (the creature either has flying or doesn't) and Wizards says in this example that there is no dependency.

Hey Rhadamanthus, In your bio, you mentioned that we should post a response when we think there's a potential issue in one of your rules posts. I think this could be one of those instances, but I'm not totally sure. There are several conflicting sources online discussing the correct interpretation of "does" in rule 613.8a.b.
A few sources say that "does" in this section indicates "a change to what the first effect is attempting to do" and not "a change to what the outcome of the first effect is".
In the case described in this thread, the order that the continuous effects are applied in layer 4 changes the outcome of the first effect (is the animated enchantment an angel?), but doesn't change what the first effect is attempting to do (give the permanent flying and the subtype angel).
Your ruling depends on interpreting "a change to what the first effect does" as "a change to what the outcome of the first effect is".
Detailed explanation of the the differences in this interpretation of Dependency is discussed here: https://outsidetheasylum.blog/dependency/
Do you know of an authoritative source or card ruling that can help to codify what the correct interpretation of the 613.8a.b "dependency 'does'" is?

I was at a pioneer fnm yesterday. There was a deck I played against that was really cool that I hadn’t seen before. It was a dimir control shell that splashed green for two cards: 4x Spelunking and 4x The Gitrog Monster. The one other thing with the deck was the manabase. It was 4 Evolving Wilds, 4x Terramorphic Expanse, 4x Escape Tunnel, 4x undercity sewers, and a bunch of basics. All of the fetch lands triggered the gitrog monster to get massive card advantage. Another cool interaction was all of the fetches triggering Fatal Push. I went 1-2 against it with Esper greasefang, and it went 3-0 for the tournament. I was wondering if any modern players knew if it would be better in modern, since the fetch lands there are way better.

I love this project, my nephew is about old enough to learn how to play so I'm putting these decks together to teach him.
The combat puzzles are great too. Some of the red creatures don't match up after the latest update, but most of the puzzles still work the same way with Festival Crasher instead of Kiln Fiend and Chandra's Spitfire instead of Impetuous Sunchaser. There are just a few where the trample from Archweaver doesn't math properly with the extra toughness on Festival Crasher, I think #22 and #23 are the only ones that would need tweaking to have a solution.

Llewllew If I may step in, Runadi, Behemoth Caller's ability triggers when The Mimeoplasm is cast, while Mimeo's ability triggers when it enters the battlefield. So Runadi will always see Mimeo as an MV 5 creature.
You cast Mimeo, and Runadi sees you cast a creature with MV 5+. Then Mimeo enters, it exiles the graveyard cards, copies one exiled card, and gets (1 + power of other exiled card) +1/+1 counters.

SufferFromEDHD This deck discourages people from attacking it. You must have missed the part in the description where I mentioned the deck is not tailored around the commanders ability. Having cards reliant on a commander that rarely ever hits the field makes no sense when they don't mesh with anything else. Would end up being dead draws almost every time as I'd find myself wishing I'd drawn literally anything else. You can go that direction with this commander, but that's not this deck.
