Obeka's chronomancy adds a new axis to Reanimator Control. Mess around with turns and exile delayed triggers to build huge value from cards that were formerly near uplayable. If you like to control the game with counterspells, manipulate turn ending effects, fill your graveyard and reanimate some bomb win conditions then give Obeka a spin!

If you like this deck, and the way I break it down below, consider leaving it an upvote and having a look at my other decks at FaeGamerBoi.

GAME PLAN

  1. Set the Clock: Cast spells and abilities with powerful effects that end at the beginning of your end step. The flavor of this category is Reanimator.
  2. Kill the Clock: Use Obeka and similar turn ending effects to turn your temporary spells into permanent ones by exiling their triggers during your end step. As a bonus, turn enders can exile an entire stack if you choose, it's like a counterspell on steroids!
  3. It's Alive!: We're playing a tonne of reanimation spells in this list, so we've got a suite of game ending bombs to aim them at. Pull one of these back and wipe your opponents out with value and straight damage.

OTHER PLANS

  • Fill the Yard: Obviously all our reanimation is useless without creatures in the graveyard to reanimate, so lets get them there.
  • Protect Obeka: Fortune favors the bold. But if Obeka dies before we can get those triggers lined up to exile, then we'll be falling on our own sword. So when we're trying to go off, looking after her is our number one priority!

CARD GUIDE

NOTE: Just quickly before we start, I've put tutors in each category they could search a card from. The main exclusion to this is the "Ramp" category, which I didn't include because most ramp you'll want to play on curve (i.e Not waste a turn tutoring it).

These are cards I didn't include due to their price, but feel free to slot them in if you have them or are willing to buy them!
