An idea I had after I played a deck with Awaken the Ancient and I was surprised to see consistent it was in a casual setting and thought of ways to exploit mountains outside of Valakut so Chained to the Rocks was added and white was necessary to run. Then I thought "If I'm going to care about mountains, it should be Blood Moon -like" so I added Magus . And then I happened upon Riftstone Portal and figured I could get it into my graveyard pretty easily and have access to 3 colors even with Magus and wouldn't need to worry about fetching lands. "But, you don't win from that," I thought. So maybe Living Plane would be cool if I Electrickeried all their lands and walked in with all of these .
