When browsing through the list of possible mono-white pauper commanders to build a deck around, this guy first caught my attention for having the esthetically pleasing Kev Walker art. Next to its solid 3/4 flying body for 4, the originally intended upkeep drawback is actually a boon for flickering low cost creatures with ETB effects.

Every turn in which you don't need a specific ETB effect, flicker a token creator to amass a larger army to eventually swing with.

The Free-Rider's flying body alone proves to be very useful, as I've won several 1v1 matches with commander damage alone.
