This decklist has moved to moxfield: Chain Stalkers

This is a dedicated Food Chain and Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact deck. The primary strategy is to win with whatever combo your hand enables first. The deck has a very high tutor density instead of running other win conditions.
You can use various combinations of these cards in order to string together a win. The deck can switch combo strategies very easily depending on the cards you draw.

Method 1: Food Chain

This combo requires you to have at least one creature in play, another one in hand or on the battlefield, and either Misthollow Griffin or Eternal Scourge exiled. The cost of this combo will depend upon how many creatures you have in play and whether or not you have exiled one of the two above mentioned creatures, but normally it should cost: or an additional 1 or 2 mana.

Set up: 1 mana dork in play and Eternal Scourge exiled.

  1. Cast Food Chain for
  2. Exile a mana dork for
  3. Play the other mana dork from your hand (or exile the other creature you have). ( floating)
  4. Exile the other mana dork creating . ()
  5. with your floating mana cast Eternal Scourge, and exile it with Food Chain creating 4 black mana.
  6. Start a loop where you repeatedly exile Eternal Scourge and cast it again generating infinite amounts of mana of every color.
  7. Cast your commander and exile it with Food Chain dealing 2 damage to one of your opponents.
  8. Repeated this process and kill the table.

Method 2: Demonic Consultation + Thassa's Oracle

This combo costs and requires you to have Demonic Consultation + Thassa's Oracle in hand.

  1. Cast Thassa's Oracle
  2. Cast Demonic Consultation in response to the Thassa's Oracle trigger, exiling your entire library.
  3. Let the Thassa's Oracle trigger resolve and win the game.
You can use Neoform/Eldritch Evolution to find and put Thassa's Oracle into play and win with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact.

More to come!

  • No second labman? I decided to greed in the build and with two win conditions already in the deck, I don't think a third is needed.

  • Grim Tutor: a three mana tutor that sees play in some decks. I like the card for fast dedicated strategies.

  • Eldritch Evolution: In my mind, situationally superior to Grim Tutor. Allows you to put into play a Thassa's Oracle to win if we have Demonic Consultation in our hand. That is a 4 mana combo "two-card" combo.
