I took out a Swamp and replaced it with a Rogue's Passage. I realized that there are several cards in the deck (Ob Nixilis, the Fallen, Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar, Ulvenwald Hydra to name a few) that end up getting to be really big, and I wanted an easily-fetchable way to get their titanic damage through.

Replaced Explosive Vegetation with Hour of Promise because, at the point in which I would be casting that sort of highly-costed ramp spell, I need to be getting something more valuable out of the exchange than two tapped basics. There are several two-land wombo combos that this is sort of a no-brainer. Plus, if I ever find myself in the position where I have to cast a spell like Exploding Veggies or Hour of Winco to get my commander and engine online, I've probably already lost that game anyway.

I also realized that dividing my basic lands between regular basics and snow-covered basics would allow for more consistent Field of the Dead triggers without any tempo or strategic sacrifice.

Another recent change was ditching my "Valakut" package. It is too hard to get online, and all sort of hinges on Prismatic Omen, and wasting spells to assemble that isn't nearly as good as having two more win-enablers, like Dark Depths/Thespian's Stage or Squandered Resources.

This is my first "pet deck." It is the first actually focused and reasonably optimized deck I have ever owned in paper, and I am really happy with it.
