Hello everyone! My name is Atraxa, and I'm here to proliferate pois- phriendship everywhere!

As a member of Commander 2016, I know you've heard a lot about my hated neme- my good friend Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis as the "goto group hug commander". But as a friendly, cotton candy loving angel, I am here to show you there is nothing more selfless and caring than the power of black!

The goal of this hug is to help everyone draw cards, make mana, and infec- infriendship everyone with phriendship counters! Also, make everyone's creatures as big as possible, so that when you reveal your special friendship cards they will become even more friendly!

Remember: the bigger your opponent's stuff is, the more phriendship you can give them!

My Phavorite Cards

Friendship Drake: The more mana you make, the more friendship you give! Remember that Palinchron combined with any mana doubler gives infinite mana, meaning infinite Phriendship counters!

Friendship Strike: Maybe one of your mean oppone- friends is trying to hurt one of your other friends. The power of friendship strike will change that blow from pain to phriendship.

Friendly Tide: Proliferation is effective in pumping your opponent's creatures and pumping your opponent's phriendship counters.

Friendly Conscience: Borrow an especially mean creature and make it give phriendship to others.

Friendly Phersecutor: The rules of magic limit the amount of phriendship someone can have at a time. This phriendly card removes the phriendship limit from your opponents! How phriendly!

Here is how a game with this phriendly deck will go:

Early Game (Acquaintances): 0 phriendship: Huh, this is a weird brew of group hug. Could you proliferate my Vivid land?

Mid Game (Friends): 3 phriendship: WTF? POISON COUNTERS?! WHAT KIND OF BULLSHIT GROUP HUG IS THIS?

Late Game (Phriends): 8 phriendship: We are the best of friends, hahaha... please don't proliferate me

The aim of this group hug deck is to pump everyone. Make all the creatures on the battlefield as big as possible, then either take the for myself or encourage opponents attack each other. Also poison. Atraxa's proliferation fulfils both ends of this deal: we can proliferate +1/+1 counters and poison counters.

Of course, it is just a tiny bit dangerous to randomly pump people's creatures before spraying poison at people. Generally, if you have Atraxa and put poison counters down, people consider you the "enemy" of the board (I wonder why?). That's why we run pillowfort cards. Atraxa is also a good blocker, if you can protect her.

Of course, pillowfort isn't effective at FORCING people not to attack you, only discouraging them. For those playgroups who are willing to sacrifice a little advantage in order to smack the infect Atraxa player, I have some very hard fort cards in the sideboard. You can replace the really soft cards like Edric as necessary.
