Hi all !

I'm a nearly exclusive Rakdos player who loves personal brewing. I discovered MTG with Demigod of Revenge (my absolute favorite card) and i play around Black & Red since.
I made a lot of different Rakdos decks for Modern : Blitzkrieg with Demigod of Revenge ; Midrange with Pack Rat, Dark Confidant, Dreadhorde Arcanist or Lightning Skelemental ; Aggro with Kiln Fiend ; Infect with Phyrexian Crusader or Devotion with Phyrexian Obliterator !

Here is my most control attempt and my current IRL deck. Feel free to comment, any advice is appreciated :)

Last thing : i'm french and i know my english is not perfect, sorry about that !

RAKDOS CONTROL

CARDS SELECTION :

Inquisition of Kozilek and Thoughtseize
Must have in Black, those two are perfect T1. Take the information and discard the most annoying card of your opponent is still very strong in Modern.

Lightning Bolt
A must have in Red^^. It's one of the most played card for reasons : it kills creatures, Planeswalkers and players !

Fatal Push
I bring it back in the deck because of Ragavan !

Bitterblossom
One of my favorite cards. It's obviously a win condition that passes through a bridge, but it also protects my Planeswalkers. Furthermore, the art is amazing :)

Collective Brutality
Very versatile card that fits perfectly in the deck. Life gain for Bitterblossom or against Burn, removal, discard... And i can escalate with extra Moon, Bridge of BB.

Dreadbore
A great removal. I prefer it over Terminate because it can deals with Planeswalkers. I wish it was an instant but whatever.

Blood Moon
Everyone knows it can wins games by itself. Very good in this meta since Arcum's Astrolabe is gone, Blood Moon is the main benefit of playing Rakdos over others classic control decks.

Ensnaring Bridge
The second lock pîece of the deck. It shuts down so many decks !

Liliana of the Veil
The queen, i love her ! Combined with Bitterblossom, Blood Moon and or Bridge, it's a nightmare for your opponent !

Seasoned Pyromancer
The draw and filtering engine of the deck. It's sort of a non-bo with Ensnaring Bridge, but the card is too strong to play without.

Kolaghan's Command
Another great versatile tool. The only way to deal with Artifacts outside of discard, it can also brings back Spyro, or acting like a Bolt and kill creatures, PW or Players. My favorite play with it is the discard at draw steps ;)

Chandra, Torch of Defiance
A great win condition. She also gives card advantage and ramp, which is very powerful.

THEY DON'T MAKE THE CUT :

Chalice of the Void
I tried with, but i really prefer without. The discard package is very strong and Bolt gives me reach.

Simian Spirit Guide
Very hard choice. A T2 Blood Moon can be very devastating, but i hate SSG as a top deck... Still not sold on that one, for now i go without.

Terminate
Planeswalkers are a pain for the deck so i run Dreadbore instead.

Bedevil
It could have been the perfect replacement for Dreadbore but after some playtesting i found the 3 CMC too much for what it does.

Master of Cruelties
Very fun card but not strong enough for Modern.
