Valiant Rescuer

Creature — Human Soldier

Whenever you cycle another card for the first time each turn, create a 1/1 white Human Soldier creature token.

if you are trying to build draw/tokens you definitely should look into putting Drake Haven, Valiant Rescuer, and Spirit Cairn in the deck to produce higher volumes of tokens

Abandoned Sarcophagus lets you play what you cycle from the graveyard as well

Unpredictable Cyclone is a fun card if you ever get tired of drawing into hand

Shark Typhoon is another token generator that might be a spicy include

Barbarian_Sun_Pope Your suggestions would probably make the deck better! But I really want to keep with the theme of cycling as much as I can, that way cards like Flourishing Fox and Valiant Rescuer can proc. Otherwise Waste Not would be way better in combination with the cards that me both players discard. Rielle, the Everwise is actually super cool but I don't want to add another color :(

Decree of Silence is a great addition to a cycling deck it lets you counter 3 spells then sac it or cycle it to counter a spell!

Drake Haven and Spirit Cairn lets you build on the token side of gavi and give you a bit more to work the field with in terms of creatures.

Brallin, Skyshark Rider  Flip and Shabraz, the Skyshark work wonders together between pinging damage and life gain and two really big creatures you have a great enhancement for cycling.

Valiant Rescuer gives you more bang for the first card you cycle and encourages that first cycle then cycle again to get the cat dino from gavi.

and for added torment and a reboot Decree of Annihilation to put the game back in the balance

And now looking through one last time i wonder if Valiant Rescuer should also get a sideboard at least, if not a main deck. 2 for a 3/1 and the same 1/1 value as the fox, albiet in another body, rather than a counter. However, it also is a human and makes more humans, and you are already playing a full set of Fight as One, which i feel like gives you a lot of options for games when you dont get the fox. I would say if you have found yourself always cycling the rock, get rid of that, since with the proposed land base i doubt you are ever really screwed for colors.

I has a question. what are you gonna cycle? in a 60 card deck, you have 14 cards with cycling. also, why do you like Drannith Stinger so much? isn't Valiant Rescuer so much better? what about Zenith Flare?

Ianhannah1704 Yes thats why he is in the sideboard :) Companion mechanic requires the companion to be in the sideboard.

Young_Shaman Sorry for the delayed response but here's what I found. I believe this is a more midrange build, having a lot of removal options and efficient graveyard hate that can play a big role in some matchups. Also it is quite good at exiling. Jeskai control is quite good against us especially game 1 if they sweep our board, although I have pulled out some wins with double zenith flare quite a few times. But post side-board I don't think they are too bad. This is mainly because of Thought Distortion. I wouldn't play Zenith Flare before we can thought distortion their hand, and there is nothing they can do about it. I would take out General Kudro for the two and maybe an Angrath's rampage. We are quite all in on the Zenith Flare plan but sometimes thats just how the cookie crumbles. But if we dont find the thought distortions then it will probably end poorly.

Lurrus oven is definitely a hard matchup in all iterations of the deck I have built. It mostly depends on Dire Tactics to exile their creature, especially Lurus when he is played. Claim the Firstborn is rough, especially early. I think the strongest thing we can do is have a Valiant Rescuer making many tokens, and ofcourse we need Kudro to help exile their graveyard. I think this deck plays enough exile cards to keep the matchup clean. And sideboard we get 4 Devout Decree to exile more at instant speed. We are kind of like a control matchup and if we can get the General Kudro, Valiant Rescuer engine running it helps a lot to stop them. Just don't make human tokens until they tap their ovens.

Finally I have played around with a more aggro iteration of the deck. But before I talk about it I just want to say that these cycling decks are what I think the be among the hardest decks to play with really tough decisions. Even I find myself making sub-optimal plays time and time again. But you were talking about aggro and wanting the untapped white source and this deck Boros Lurrus Cycling (it should work this time) is a great deck too. But I have mostly played this one in best of 1s. Honestly the Lurrus oven decks are still really hard. But the deck has great staying potential, you can look at the deck and I will put a description in today. It feels like a great aggro deck and doesn't suffer from a lot of the clunkiness this deck does. But I don't know if its post-sideboard matchups will be as strong as this one. Its very much a fast aggro deck compared to this one I would brand as more midrange. Let me know what you think.

Last I like what you said about the lands, I will make the change.

Hey, Tectonic Reformation which is included in the precon gives you a repeatable source of low mana cost cycling using lands. This is wanted to repeatedly trigger Gavi, Slide, Drift and Haven. Idyllic Tutor is worth including because it can tutor for one of Reformation, Slide, Drift or Haven and you can recur it with Archaeomancer to tutor again.

There's a lack of ramp here and ramp is a fundamental part of all Commander decks. You want to make room in your deck for ramp since ramp also is color fixing. In the precon are Sol Ring/Arcane Signet these are good rocks for ramp, add them to your deck. There's also three Signets in the precon I suggest adding those rocks too.

Chromatic Lantern is not included in the precon, but it's a good mana rock with Reformation because then you can tap any land to make red mana to cycle a land with Reformation. Raugrin Crystal is the new Jeskai mana rock that has cycling.

Smothering Tithe is a fantastic card for repeatable ramp in multiplayer Commander since your opponents, much more than not, are not going to pay the two mana to deny you a treasure when they draw therefore each time around the table you're going to make treasures and these treasures can be saced to make any color of mana. Smothering is also good with Reformation because treasures can make red mana.

Some good budget cards with cycling to consider adding:

I offer more advice including what cards to consider cutting. Good luck with your deck.
