One last suggestion:

Turbulent Dreams budget Cyclonic Rift? Maybe, maybe not but it definitely has juicy synergy with Damia.

Have fun deck building across the pond!

Ohh yeah man, Crystal Shard is great here for sure. As many economically feasible ways to reset Chun-Li as possible is a must here, certainly. Unsummon, Vapor Snag, Fading Hope, Rescue, Curfew, Chain of Vapor, Alchemist's Retrieval, Unsubstantiate, Familiar's Ruse, Geistwave, Call to Heel, Snapback & of course Capsize (so much utility here) are all worth a thought here imo, seeing as how they are also instants that can easily be recurred via the Commander's ability.

Other less synergistic synergies like Vedalken Mastermind, Waterfront Bouncer, Trusted advisors, Shrieking Drake, Faerie Impostor, Seal of Removal, Turbulent Dreams, Aether Spellbomb, Otawara, Soaring City & Sanctum of Eternity could potentially help the deck push through to victory as well!

And then there's Intuition, which is obviously just insane lol.

Solid build! A lot of neat tech in this list like that Mind Harness. Focused and brutal polymorph targets. Nice to see both Parallax Tide and Parallax Wave too. Get that Pendrell Mists into the 99!

Although it is a well oiled machine I'm still going to spitball a playset of discard engines that might be worthy of a spot:

Frantic Search Intuition #2 not sure what to cut.

Forbid and/or Rites of Refusal for Arcane Denial and/or Delay.

Turbulent Dreams for Flood of Tears

Vengeful Dreams for either Path or Swords

Dust Bowl awesome in the late game

Ares666 that one slipped by me. I'll take a look at it. Removal good. Is it better than Knollspine Invocation though? Typically I can only recover one spell per turn with this current build. If the deck was extra combat driven Firestorm is in instantly.

I could test it in place of Turbulent Dreams . The instant speed makes it more desirable, however dreams doesn't need to worry about damage for removal. Hmm. Great suggestion. Thank you.

Thanks for commenting, ClockworkSwordfish! Personally, I think the downside of Turbulent Dreams is mitigated by it being two mana, instead of 7, like Cyclonic Rift. I'm not saying it is Cyclonic Rift, but it's a great budget alternative.

I know this topic has been beaten to death and back again, but I recently stumbled across some very underrated cards: The Dreams cycle, from Torment. Each card besides one has less then 1,000 decks on EDHrec, and while some of the cycle are meta-specific, a couple of them should be staples. Like Nostalgic Dreams, a two-mana scaleable Regrowth, getting back all your best cards while discarding all your worst, or Turbulent Dreams, a 2 mana board wipe in any deck that draws a lot of cards, like Kruphix, God of Horizons, The Locust God, both of which are very popular generals. Or what about Insidious Dreams, while even though it has 1.7 thousand decks, should be a black staple? Do you have any underrated cards in EDH? Personally, underrated means, at least to me, having less then 1,000 decks on EDHrec. Thanks!
