Rabid Rabbit of Efrafa

Creature - Rabbit Horror

Rabid (Whenever this creature deals combat damage to another creature, if that creature doesn't have Rabid it gains Rabid. Creatures with Rabid must attack or block each turn if able.)

Whenever ~ becomes blocked by one or more creatures, it gets +1/+0 for each creature blocking it.

: All creatures able to block ~ this turn block it if able.

I'd totally run this in Thantis, the Warweaver, which definitely is a pet commander of mine.

Wild.

legendofa made a great list of (dis-)advantages of each colour and combination, but missed the one awesome BBEG pick from Jund: Thantis, the Warweaver. A massive spider that induces rage into the hearts of everyone smelling her web? How awesome a villain woulf that be? And you could even make her a multistage boss with the spider only being a brute form of some creator level being (Asura's Wrath, anyone?) What might appear as her downside for the Archenemy position actually isn't one: They already want to attack you, so why not force them to attack with support creatures, as well, basically sealing their fate.

Thantis, the Warweaver likes counters and proliferate as well. It would be a labor of love since Jund doesn't just spell out any oil decks for you (like Abzhan).

Another option would be Tana, the Bloodsower with a black-splash partner

Thantis, the Warweaver is so open-ended. When I did build Thantis to care more about forcing unfavorable combat I leaned heavily into lifelink... so: Whip of Erebos, etc... This way I could be more aggressive with my vigilant commander while also heavily discouraging swing-wide in my direction, (I had some situations where it came down to 1v1 & a field of 1/1's would swing at me, grow Thantis, & actually gain me life for the crackback). One of my favorites for anti-voltron was Shiny Impetus. I never personally saw that much allure to deathtouchees or Archetype of Finality, I'd rather be trampling with my giant commander & lifelinking aggressively. With playtesting, my opponents were tapped out half the time & open for business, or they had chump blockers which were going to be dead anyway (deathtouch was lame either way). The only reason I stopped playing combat-focused Thantis is because my meta was so heavy on non-combat tactics (tapdown their own stuff, etc...) So I eventually changed over to Jund goodstuff & making a lifedrain token-army deck.

Most proxies in my playgroup have been for a wide range of reasons. One player is still a college student & he sees no reason to buy up a bunch of product at this point in his life.. His Kibo deck has a buttload of proxies & it has 0 to do with power level.

On the flip side there can be a wide variety of reasons I put my original duals into decks beyond power level. I put my original copy Scrubland into Breena, the Demagogue simply because it is my only deck. My Jund dual original copies are in my Thantis, the Warweaver deck; not Korvald.

Perception can depend on the player demographics too. I remember being somewhat picked apart for having that scrubland in my Breena deck because the perception was dual = power, not really true in that deck, Orzhov +1/+1 counters, proliferate, walkers can be good, but it is not close to cEDH.

Some spider suggestions:

Llanowar Greenwidow, Oran-Rief Recluse, Glowstone Recluse, Sentinel Spider, Sweet-Gum Recluse, Hatchery Spider, Doom Weaver, Obelisk Spider, Rotwidow Pack

Spider-Support: Curse of Clinging Webs, Eaten by Spiders, Hidden Spider, Spider Umbra, Webspinner Cuff

Bramble Sovereign could produce Spider Copy-tokens on etb. If you plan playing 3 colours… Thantis, the Warweaver?

And… what about Lolth, Spider Queen?

Edit: with 3.3 cmc, you have a pretty low landcount. I would cut some non-creature-spells

IHATENAMES: Thanks. Bow is a great card that I had in here until a while ago. My copy is in my Thantis, the Warweaver. It's cool here, but it's better in Thantis.

I'd like to keep both Intervention and Primal Order, so no utility lands for me ;)

Thantis, the Warweaver should be on the other list IMO. It's a little expensive sure, but the static pseudo-goad puts it at least up against Marisi, Breaker of the Coil. Creatures can attack you, but in my experience thantis is a pretty good rattlesnake itself, plus the deck tends to be a little pillowforty, so you just end up with permanent goad, which is extremely disruptive to certain play patterns, and leaves boards open to big hits with thantis.
