Sterling Grove

Enchantment

Other enchantments you control have shroud. (They can't be the targets of spells or abilities.)

, Sacrifice this: Search your library for an enchantment card, reveal it, then shuffle your library and put that card on top.

There are different answers for these situations. For the Anikthea, Hand of Erebos question, the populated token will also be a black 3/3 Enchantment Creature - Zombie copy of Sterling Grove. For the Vihaan, Goldwaker / Cybermen Squadron question, the myriad tokens will be non-creature Treasures.

An object's "copiable characteristics" are its base printed characteristics plus the results of any other copy effects that are currently being applied to it (i.e. copying a Clone pretending to be Runeclaw Bear will make another Bear, not another Clone). For tokens, their "printed" characteristics are the ones they were created with. This means the copiable characteristics of Anikthea's tokens include the 3/3 black zombie creature part, but the copiable characteristics of Vihaan's awakened treasures are just regular treasures.

So, I have Anikthea, Hand of Erebos in play, it has copied a Sterling Grove. The 3/3 creature is now in play. I now copy it with a populate card. My question is about the token it produces. Is it a creature or just an enchantment? Also something that just copies a token, will the Sterling Grove be a creature?

This is a similar question. Vihaan, Goldwaker is in play with Cybermen Squadron. I head to combat making a treasure token a 3/3. I then attack with the token, triggering Myriad. Are the tokens made, 3/3 or are they just tapped regular treasure tokens?

Phule451 this is what I've done to the deck now which includes your suggestions:

Timber Paladin > Gala Greeters

Timely Ward > Gallant Pie-Wielder

Angelic Destiny > Lady of Laughter

Starfield Mystic > Grand Crescendo

Idol of Oblivion > Sterling Grove

Please let me know what you think and if you have anymore suggestions to make this deck a great show

I say apparent weakness because you literally have 4 total flyers (and 0 reach that I noticed) and 1 is BoP who isn't reliably available to block. That's 1 out of every 25 cards. Myrkul triggers at the same time as Broodmoth, so you can always opt to exile if having your hatebear as an enchantment is more beneficial at that time than having it return with flying.

Sterling Grove would be nice for protecting and/or tutoring for your enchantments also.

Ok, so I already made 4 cuts. You chose to remove Binding of Titans, now I need to figure out what else to remove as I have Ephemerate, Llanowar Elves, Greater Auramancy, Idyllic Tutor, Bloom Tender, Worldly Tutor, Elvish Mystic, Fyndhorn Elves, Enlightened Tutor, Sterling Grove, Eladamri's Call, Aegis of the Gods, Pernicious Deed, Final Parting, Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, Sanguine Bond, Exquisite Blood (Birds of Paradise is already in as I didn't update the list at this moment)

You need Dorks, dude! Birds of Paradise was just reprinted, and is cheaper than it's been in a long time. Not sure how much Bloom Tender is running right now, but I'd slot it in if it's feasible. Lil dudes like Llanowar Elves, Fyndhorn Elves, Elvish Mystic, Elves of Deep Shadow & Avacyn's Pilgrim are needed as well. Always play your Dorks when in , unless they're not needed in a very strict, fundamental sense - which is not the case here. Maybe play a few Rituals like Dark Ritual, Cabal Ritual & Culling the Weak too. Final Parting could be cool here too.

Off the top, Aegis of the Gods, Ephemerate, Flickerform, Greater Auramancy, Sterling Grove, Idyllic Tutor, Eladamri's Call, Enlightened Tutor, Worldly Tutor, Pernicious Deed & Aura Shards are probably all worth consideration as well.

I do have Sterling Grove on the list, Greater Auramancy wasn't originally here, but a judge told me I could still attach Ellivere's enchantments to a creature with shroud, so for about a week I thought that was a cool interaction until another judge corrected them haha. It's on the list mainly just to see what it plays like, but I expect it to be removed after a game or two for the reason you mentioned. I'll either replace it with Sigarda's Aid or Jukai Naturalist just because I may want still want another aura target.

For sure, if there's one thing Ellivere wants to do it is load someone up on auras lol. I find this strategy more fun now that there's significantly more enchantment recursion than there was even like 5 6 years ago.

If you have any other thoughts or end up building Gylwain let me know I'd love to check it out!
