Your deck is lacking any real form of interaction… letting your opponent just do what they want is a really dangerous place to be! As both Read the Bones and Fog aren’t really doing anything for you here, i’d replace them both with killspells like Fatal Push Abrupt Decay, Assassin's Trophy, and/or Infernal Grasp.

Without any real graveyard shenanigans, Gravecrawler isn’t great here, and you’re probably better off with something like Shambling Ghast to provide some chump-blocking and potential ramp/removal.

An interesting take on "Mono-Black Rock" here. Lots of staples splashed with plenty of card advantage options.

I'm not a fan of the Orcish Bowmasters ever since they were nerfed on Arena - kind of the same with The One Ring (but at least the Ring is always useful). Late-game bowmasters are just dreck to draw so I've phased them out myself, maybe look at doing the same? Even a common like Shambling Ghast can fill the bowmasters role in being able to take out a 2-toughness attacker, except that you have the option of creating mana for a future turn when it dies unlike the bowmasters which are (especially nerfed) a lot more situational. You have plenty of other card draw options here where dropping them for some mana ramp to get off one of your 4 or 5-mana spells early seems like a good idea for improving consistency.

In any case, +1 just for seeing another Arena player on here. Feel free to add me on Arena if you ever want to talk deck tech or run some test games. Info is on my profile -- good luck!

KingMinjo91 | Greedy Freebooter is pretty similar to Shambling Ghast which I had in previous versions of the deck. Personally, I like making creature tokens or the card draw from Market Gnome more than a treasure. Usually the creature ends up being equivalent to card draw or more value while the treasure only has limited synergy in the deck. I could experiment more with these types of cards in the future though!

Foster_I_Am | Roaming Throne is a phat 4/4 with ward which is nice, but I don't think we have enough creature-type synergy to take advantage of it over other more powerful 4-drops. I can see naming human or vampire and getting a good amount of value on certain boards, but I also see it being completely useless in some situations. If you feel like testing it let me know the results!

DreadKhan might be a good way to get creatures in my discard too. Might add that along with Shambling Ghast

Some thoughts:

  • your mana curve looks fairly steep, in that you’re running a TON of 3-mana cards. Having soo much weight on such a high mana cost will lead to the deck running very slowly/clumsily, as you’ll often only be able to do one thing per turn. I’d suggest removing some of these 3-drops and finding room for the 1-mana zombies: Carrion Feeder, Gravecrawler, Champion of the Perished, and maybe Shambling Ghast or Cryptbreaker. Those first 3 cards mentioned form the backbone of most zombie decks.

  • your lands are going to make it really unwieldy trying to run 2 colours. Personally i’d suggest just going mono-black to give you better consistency.

  • 20 lands is too few to be playing any high-mana cards - i’d suggest ditching all the cards costing 4-or-more mana, and limiting the number of 3-mana cards you run to 8.

  • depending on how “budget” you budget is, you may like this list here - it’s $100 but very strong, and went 5-0 at a mtgo modern league, beating $1000 decks (further down the page he also lists a $50 version, which looks pretty decent for the cost also).

Yeah Cemetery Gatekeeper is definitely the odd one out here since he doesn't enable anything. Big Game Hunter or Shambling Ghast could be a decent replacement. The hunter is additional removal for anything that might be bigger than your bigger creatures and the Ghast could offset the land lost from the second room in the Tomb.

This deck looks really solid! One of my close friends has been running a blue and black zombie deck for a while. I think your deck would benefit a lot from Cryptbreaker. Can generate zombies and card draw. Foulmire Knight is also a solid option.

As much as I love Grave Titan, depending on how fast/competitive you want this deck to be, he is going to slow you down a lot. I think Diregraf Colossus could be a strong replacement.

Lord of the Accursed can also be a game winning zombie lord. Although Consume Spirit adds to the lifegain idea, you still need at least three mana to cast it, and even then its not doing much work for you. Murderous Rider can not only serve as removal, but is alternatively a zombie with lifelink.

Cards I'd take out to replace with the ones I receommended would be Consume Spirit, Grave Titan, Graf Harvest, Headless Rider, and Shambling Ghast.

These of course are personal suggestions, you do what makes you happy!
