If it's cards within the deck you could eliminate the problem befor it becomes one with cards like Sadistic Sacrament, Jester's Cap and many more similar cards

I agree that modern players and sets just aren't what they used to be. Luckily there are still old school players out there that play older cards and surprise you with their innovation. I actually cut Sadistic Sacrament from my Oloro deck. I needed the space for more tutors and counterspells lol. Honestly, I figured out over time that having multiple tutor cards is broken in EDH. You can have the best deck idea out there but if you can't get the cards, it doesn't matter. Also, I wished cards like Burning Sands and Smoke were printed in colors other than red. I tried to make a red control deck once but quickly realized that red doesn't have enough good cards for it without using creatures. Red and Black together works well but I didn't find a good commander so I just decided to move on. Btw, I don't know if you use discord or not, but we could talk at length about magic there if you'd like. I moved states and I don't have a current play group so it's been a while since I've talked much about magic with people.

Modern WOTC sucks. It is full of pseudo intellectual weirdos. The kids that used to play Yu-Gi-Oh that transitioned into MTG. They brought the power creep and the endless over printed products. Timmy likes turning big dudes sideways. I like getting new reanimation targets but it's been in an unhealthy place for a few years. I miss 1 big set/ 2 secondary sets/1 core set/1 special release. GREAT formula.

I too am big on enchantments. Just did a building exercise on enchantress in each color.

Tainted aether is fun. Burning Sands is another one. Combos with the king of fun Pendrell Mists

I have a recommendation, even though I have not been around for long, I suggest Sadistic Sacrament for some more removal.

yes, it is a small playgroup. no, I have not heard of it and I shall now replace Memoricide with Sadistic Sacrament because it is fewer things I have to worry about when I cast it and my friend's dragon deck contains no black (as far as I know).

There's a card called Praetor's Grasp have you heard of it? If there's a card or cards ylthat you could remove and also use then this is your card. If you are looking to strip down your opponents key cards from there deck there is also Sadistic Sacrament

I think the deck would do better with a bit more board interation. Maybe replace Worst Fears with In Garruk's Wake?

And maybe Sadistic Sacrament, Utopia Sprawl, and Well of Lost Dreams with cards like Mortality Spear or Maelstrom Pulse or World Breaker (a personal favorite of mine as well as theme-fitting for you)
