I might run fewer/creatures, since stickfingers will until you reveal x creatures, not just x cards. The fewer you have the higher chance you hit one that destroys the table if you just overload on ramp and reanimates. Rather than these things Crawl from the Cellar,Ghoul's Feast,Gravepurge I'd focus on just reanimating and is easy to get and will probably serve you better. If you really do want it back in your hand Genesis Skullwinder and Eternal Witness do this while attached to a body.

Rather than sending to your hand these will just bring back Diregraf Rebirth, Victimize, Reanimate, Exhume, Unearth, Whisper, Blood Liturgist, Stitch Together,Dread Return.Geth, Lord of the Vault is expensive but can fill your yard as well as revive others. Finale of Devastation revives or tutors, and is a finisher.

Blossoming Wreath,Gnaw to the Bone probably heal less than lifelink, and there's a ton of ways to give lifelink.

Rampant Growth is slightly inferior to Three Visits and Nature's Lore as long as your dual lands have both typesOvergrown Tomb, Bayou, Woodland Chasm, although I'd definitely run all three if there's room. Culling Ritual would be an amazing ramp/wipe card you can use to nuke all tokens and then cast stickfingers. Sakura-Tribe Elder is just rampant growth that works as a blocker for one turn, and it is another creature in your graveyard. Lotus Cobra ramps too, particularly with your other ramp options.

And you'll likey have enough mana to use Decree of Pain, if not, other wipe options are Damnation,Pernicious Deed,Death Cloud,Deathbringer Regent,In Garruk's Wake,Killing Wave,Necromantic Selection,Plague Wind,Reiver Demon,Toxic Deluge. Torment of Hailfire works as a finisher too Endurance is basically the only way you can protect your graveyard that I can think of. I'd probably run Veil of Summer too.

Moodmark Painter gives the +x/+x buff and is on a body Garruk Relentless  Flip flips into Garruk, the Veil-Cursed, but its tricky to make this one work

Since you'll have access to really big creatures these can be nice for draw. Greater Good, Momentous Fall, Return of the Wildspeaker, Garruk, Primal Hunter, Morbid Curiosity, Life's Legacy, Disciple of Bolas, Doom Weaver, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds.

Mesmeric Orb,Stitcher's Supplier would be an amazing graveyard filler.

Zombie Infestation and Wild Mongrel is usefull for dumping creatures out of your hand

I think every single black deck should run Dauthi Voidwalker, and the more grave hate you have the more you could take advantage of Living End/Living Death if you use these as mass reanimates. they are the cheapest.

Life from the Loam and Bala Ged Recovery  Flip would be good helps for mana and options.

As long as you run Filth run Crop Rotation and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth too since it will make every creature you have unblockable.

Deathrite Shaman would benefit from more fetch lands Marsh Flats,Verdant Catacombs,Misty Rainforest would help mana fix as well as throw more lands into your graveyard.

You have a fairly high number of tutors, and a ton of ramp, so i'd consider Panglacial Wurm. It's a card you dont need to waste a draw to get and can be cast instant speed. And its fun to surprise people with it at least once.

I really like your list. I've been casting around for a good abzan tortured existence list and this is the best I've seen. I also admire your attention to unknown cards - both Rhizome Lurcher and Moodmark Painter are diamonds in the rough.

Love this deck! I'm in the process of building a very similar one. I wish thrumming stone weren't so darn expensive! I'm sure when I buy one they'll immediately reprint it, or ban it...

I've compiled a list of cards I'm considering that aren't in your deck. I expect that many of them are cards you either: 1. Thought about and decided against. 2. Didn't want to shell out the cash for, (I feel ya) 3. Don't use in your play group. (I noticed you've got no tutors. A card like Mausoleum Secrets is very affordable and super strong in this deck. If your playgroup or you personally avoid tutors for balance/powerlevel/gameplay reasons, I commend you.) Hopefully there's a card or two in this list that make you say "oooh!", because your deck certainly got that reaction from me! Bloodbond March is INSANE and it's only 50 cents!

If any of these cards are like... aggressively bad, let me know so I don't put them in my deck, haha. I'm assuming you've actually assembled and playtested the deck, whereas I am still residing in the magical christmas land of my mind.

Creatures:
Sakura-Tribe Elder
Crypt Ghast
Erebos, God of the Dead
Moodmark Painter
Pitiless Plunderer
Solemn Simulacrum
Archfiend of Depravity
Ob Nixilis, Unshackled
Butcher of Malakir
Spells:
Necrotic Wound
Soulshriek
Ghoul's Feast
Living Death
Thrilling Encore
Artifacts:
Lightning Greaves
Swiftfoot Boots
Heartstone
Enchantments:
Phyrexian Arena
Spidersilk Armor
Journey to Eternity  Flip
Black Market
Dictate of Erebos
Lands:
Cabal Coffers
Cabal Stronghold
Cascading Cataracts
Mutavault
Nurturing Peatland
Overgrown Tomb
Twilight Mire
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Verdant Catacombs

I haven't put much thought into what you would cut if you like any of these, aside from Blighted Fen . Once you get Bontu's Monument , Herald's Horn , or Jet Medallion out, Blighted Fen and any basic forests you end up with are gonna feel bad. Initiates of the Ebon Hand and Bog Initiate are spicy ways to fix the issue, but they are also... bad.

Side note: I'm curious how Rancor would be in this deck. It's a weird cost/benefit analysis because of course you want as many rats as possible, but when you can rancor to boost your sac creature +2/+0, then it pops back into your hand every time, it seems like the recursion value might add up. Also allows you to trample through extra damage on one player if they're gaining life. Anyone feel free to explain why Rancor is a dumb idea in this deck :)

THE BIG MOOD! Awesome.

Yeah I also was thinking it would be a problem. The "combo" part of the deck take too much place imo.

I was planning to either try a GR version, with lots of creature and Kraul Harpooner as a finisher with a PUNCH. It would allow the deck to win without the combo and the other creatures would be big enough to justify the punch by them.

But if I were to keep the GBR version, I would drop Golgari Raiders, Moodmark Painter and maybe Molderhulk. Instead, I would try to get either threat that don't depend on the graveyard : Doom Whisperer ( + the surveil allow us to fill the graveyard like crazy ) or better ones : Charnel Troll.

Tormenting Voice instead of Costly Plunder, it also makes us drop another creature in the graveyard maybe. Assassin's Trophy instead of Find / Finality. Gruesome Menagerie for the super value ( sticher, shaman and jadelight ? ).

I am trying to cut a lots of the combo because the opponent can easily disrupt it, so there have to be another way to win. The GR version will prolly be more consistent about the winning but will not depend on the PUNCH as much as the GBR. This one could go crazy with it tho. Sticher into Shaman into Jadelight into Kraul+Thud ? Could get a 8 or 9 in the op face at turn 4 !

Those are my thought for now, I hope it will help you !

Dezibell on Surveil or Fail

Your deck doesn't seem to run enough instants and flash cards to play Sinister Sabotage well. I would also cut Unexplained Disappearance for slots. -Etrata, the Silencer as it doesn't help with the gameplan of this deck. Etrata does better in a dedicated Helm of the Host deck. I also don't see too many good targets for Quasiduplicate here. Most of your stuff doesn't even have strong enter the battlefield triggers to copy.

I'd say put in a 4th Dimir Spybug and a 4th Nightveil Sprite for consistency.

You could go for undergrowth cards with your surveil. Put in more Enhanced Surveillance to cycle through your deck quicker and then maybe add in some of these cards for graveyard interaction: Gruesome Menagerie, Gravewaker, Isareth the Awakener, Lotleth Giant, Mnemonic Betrayal, Moodmark Painter, Narcomoeba, Creeping Chill, Bone Dragon

Additional Disinformation Campaigns also work pretty well with Nightveil Sprite, as forcing the enemy to discard two cards early on can stunt their gameplan.

Hey, nice prerelease sealed deck, but a deck like this doesn't translate well to Standard.

This is fine list of cards you want to play in Standard, but it's not yet a finished deck. Starting out making a list of cards is good, everyone starts out doing this, but the next step is to narrow down the list. Keep the good cards and cut the rest. For Standard decks don't build them like sealed decks. You can use up to four copies of a card in a Standard deck and you have freedom to play the better cards and cut the least good cards.

For example here cards like Glowspore Shaman, Kraul Harpooner, Golgari Findbroker, Underrealm Lich, Izoni, Thousand-Eyed, Find / Finality, Status / Statue even Swarm Guildmage are all good cards for Standard. Why are they good cards for Standard? They either give you value when ETB (enters the battlefield) (Glowspore, Findbroker). Have good stats (power and toughness) for their mana cost (Hapooner, Glowspore). They can win you the game if not answered right away (Lich, Izoni) or they give you a lot of options for a single card (Status, Find).

In contrast cards like Child of Night, Moodmark Painter, Hired Poisoner, Erstwhile Trooper, Grappling Sundew, Deadly Visit, etc. are not cards for Standard because there's many other cards that cost the same that are better options.

I don't want to tell you how to make your deck. I'm simply giving you some advice of how to improve it for Standard. In Standard you can also play cards from other sets. In Guilds of Ravnica Standard which starts Oct. 5th you can also play cards from sets: Ixalan, Rivals of Ixalan, Core Set 2019 (M19) and Dominaria. Using cards from all these sets and cards from Guilds of Ravnica you can build a good budget casual Golgari Standard deck with only uncommon/common cards with a sprinkling of rares/mythics that you have.

Here are three strong budget cards for Golgari: Dusk Legion Zealot, Plaguecrafter and Ravenous Chupacabra.

I offer more advice such as good practices when building a Standard deck, etc. Would you like more advice?

Stumbled on Necrotic Wound and Connive / Concoct as a combo...albeit probably clunky. Drop a larger creature to at least two with Necrotic Wound then steal it with Connive / Concoct. Probably not too viable, just thought it interesting.

Going to test with Moodmark Painter the +X and menace might be helpful.
