The “legend rule” doesn’t apply to permanents you control.
Each legendary creature you control gets +1/+1.
Each nontoken creature you control gets +1/+1 for each other creature you control with the same name as that creature.

I find one rule of thumb that I TRY to follow for any EDH deck I make, especially when cutting/adding cards is a 10% rule. Does said card interact with at least 10 other cards in the deck?
Then you have to look at quality of interaction. Sure I love cards like Maskwood Nexus because it always hits that marker. But WHAT is being hit with that marker? Am I making my Eldrazi into Slivers? Am I ensuring that my Elementals with Landfall hit all of my onboard creatures? Or am I trying to make sure Indomitable Archangel is dropping indestructible on all of my board via Mycosynth Lattice or chaining off of Memnarch?
That brings us to the "why" is there interaction. Why do I want my Eldrazi to get buffed by my Slivers? That should answer itself. But, what about an enchantment deck? Would Maskwood benefit it?
Basically I try and follow the 10% rule, while answering Who, What, When, Where, Why, AND the most important question: How. And I try to have at least 2 answers for three of the six questions, but at least one answer for all 6.
Then, even after all of that, I ask the final question of "Does anything do this, but better?" Best example would be a cloning/copy deck using Mirror Gallery versus Mirror Box. A murkier version is Bonds of Mortality versus Shadowspear. Card draw versus creature bump with lifelink and trample. And required colored mana over colorless?
This is more for editing a deck BUT it definitely helps while initial building. Once you hit the 100 cards, run the 10% test. But just make sure the deck is STILL fun. If you build a deck using all the guides and rules and you have no fun playing the deck, you miss what EDH is supposed to be about.

Nicely made; +1. It looks downright evil :):) Mindcrank would fit well in here, I think. I'd probably add some more tutors as these are key to find cards like Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Mirror Box. You could potentially add Mirror Gallery as well, though that could potentially be beneficial to your opponents as well.

Glancing through your cards, your deck's problem might be because you're building it based on best-case scenario, with tons of clones and blink synergies. (In my playgroup, Miirym always gets removed before her untap step, so the Miirym player does not rely on her sticking to the board.)
I'll suggest some upgrades for your deck based on making it more consistent and less dependant on Miirym:
1st. Ramp
Explosive turns with lots of cost reducers sound nice... if people don't blow up your dorks before you get any value from them.
- I would swap out Dragonlord's Servant, Goblin Anarchomancer, Bronze Walrus, Dragonspeaker Shaman, Open the Gates, Mind Stone, Lapis Orb of Dragonkind, Commander's Sphere, Gilded Lotus for Fellwar Stone, Farseek, Nature's Lore, Three Visits, Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Chromatic Lantern, Coalition Relic, Herald's Horn.
2nd. You need more lands (36 lands + 13 ramp cards is a good starting point)
- Storage lands like Crucible of the Spirit Dragon are only worth it with proliferate shenanigans. Exotic Orchard serves you better.
- Forgotten Cave and Tranquil Thicket can be Sheltered Thicket and Ketria Triome instead. (Synergy with the landfetchers above.)
- Highland Lake, Swiftwater Cliffs, Temple of Epiphany, Timber Gorge and Woodland Stream could be these utility lands instead: Mosswort Bridge, Myriad Landscape, Blighted Woodland, Kessig Wolf Run, Littjara Mirrorlake.
- Bala Ged Recovery Flip, Valakut Awakening Flip and Glasspool Mimic Flip are three spells that can be played as a land. I would take out Dragonmaster Outcast, Delina, Wild Mage and Demanding Dragon for them.
- Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse could be swapped out for Unclaimed Territory and Secluded Courtyard.
3rd. Better counterspells
- Evasive Action and Mana Leak could be Negate and Swan Song instead.
4th. Better removal
- Consider Beast Within, Chaos Warp and Resculpt over Hull Breach, Dragon's Fire and Lightning Bolt.
5th. Better boardwipes
- Klauth's Will is a more versatile Magmaquake. Ryusei, the Falling Star can be cloned for extra doom for your opponents. Curse of the Swine does not touch your board.
- I would take out Magmaquake, Preordain and Opt for the cards above.
6th. More card draw
- Garruk's Uprising is a better Colossal Majesty.
- Garruk, Primal Hunter and Return of the Wildspeaker are also all-stars here. I would take Korlessa, Scale Singer and Mirror Box out for them.
7th. Better win conditions
- About this, please check miirym , need recommendations build and the comment I made on that page. You have plenty of options in this regard.

That’s an interesting suggestion. I’ll have to play around with it. Thanks for stopping by!
Mirror Box was in the list at one point. However, it was cut for a few reasons. First, this deck doesn’t favor artifacts, for the most part. The four that are in the list have a major impact which offsets the fact that artifacts are the least fetchable cards in this list. Second, Mirror Box was just a bad Sakashima of a Thousand Faces. Sakashima has a similar textbox as Mirror Box and provides a Clone-effect. Lastly, Mirror Box is just better in 60 card formats where you’ll see multiple copies of the same card. You can run it in your list, but it was extremely cuttable with no regrets for me. Thanks for stopping by!
