A bit surprised you don't have Luminous Broodmoth in here, since 13th Doc cares about any counters on your creatures. Also surprised The Ozolith isn't in here.

• Basri's Solidarity & Pledge of Unity are quick and easy ways to get your board countered up.

• Managorger Hydra and/or Ravenous Slime could be self-growing threats that could then untap as beefy blockers.

• Kodama of the West Tree could pull double duty as a source of ramp and keyword anthem

• Since you are mostly +1/+1 counter focused, Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar and Sovereign Okinec Ahau could fit under the counters and Historic theme.

• Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider seems like a top end threat/hate piece, but not sure how necessary it would really be.

I brewed up a Sovereign Okinec deck a few months ago, and that was all stuff I had in consideration for that deck.

Starting with a first round of generally obvious upgrades. Planechase is used so sparingly that any card that is generally only useful during Planechase comes out. As well as budget lands like Temple, and over costed bodies for little gain.

Hardened Scales and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider are pretty dope for counter decks like this one!

Hamza, Guardian of Arashin can make your big creatures cheap, and Gavony Township is a decent mana-sink if you end up top-decking.

Kodama of the West Tree, Bramblewood Paragon, Gnarlid Colony, Trollbred Guardian, and Tuskguard Captain each give your creatures with counters on them trample (Kodama being the best one).

Abzan Falconer gives them flying instead.

Basri's Lieutenant is a fun card since it can repopulate your board after a board wipe and can block a lot of problematic creatures like multicolored commanders.

Few more recommendations, this time using your counters for great effects.

Black Market gives you some good boardwipe recovery, assuming it's not Farewell'd or something.

Door of Destinies can help keep your field big even after a boardwipe, too.

Jugan Defends the Temple  ^Flip could also be a core 'building' card in this deck. I can see it helping in many ways, and you'd get the payoff almost immediately.

Speaking of modified creatures, Kodama of the West Tree is so good in this deck it makes me want to barf. Definitely add it, and I'll try not to puke on your deck, lol.
