Joraga Warcaller

Creature — Elf Warrior

Multikicker (You may pay an additional any number of times as you cast this spell.)

Joraga Warcaller enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each time it was kicked.

Other Elf creatures you control get +1/+1 for each +1/+1 counter on Joraga Warcaller.

Morning my fellow Ballers!

So just going to wade in here, but Joraga Warcaller does work super well with Immaculate Magistrate. A deck like this, that makes sooooo many elves, a simple tap can make your whole board MAHOOSIVE!

Its a sweet deck, and i honestly was not aware of Galadhrim Brigade. I have a simple cut in mine and will replace elvish ambush Think its just better.

If you fancy a look, here is my deck also Golgari Elves. Used to be Selesnya with Karamtetra as commander, but just perfer dem durty Golgari Elves.

oh yeah, +1 as well to you as well

Hi Romer! I know! I run the same deck and making cuts is so hard, just too many good elf cards.

One question I don't really know which is better and also myself am struggling with. Maybe it's an idea to take Joraga Warcaller out for Galadhrim Brigade. I use Joraga only with a kicker so paying 3 mana, what is the same cost of Galadhrim (then both will give +1/+1). The kicker has the same price as the squad (2 mana). Shouldn't Galadhrim's squad ability give us copies which will count as elfs? This would give a little bit more advantage for Circle of Dreams Druid, Elvish Archdruid, Priest of Titania or Wirewood Channeler. Or won't they count as elfs?

Also Collected Company and Genesis Wave are worth watching, gives me a great advantage now and then. Especially the last one when I have a lot of mana on the table. I'm def gonna follow your deck cause it gave me some cool new cards for my deck!

I recently added 2x Nylea, God of the Hunt, 4x Lys Alana Huntmaster , and 2x Joraga Warcaller. Seems like the deck is still playing very fast and still having no problem getting everything out and setup by turn 5 easily. I am working on a sideboard to include some creatures who can block filying, destory artifacts/enchanments, and a few other things as well if needed. I will get that post in the next day or 2 as well.

I found Once Upon a Time really useful in my Elves deck, really smoothe

Is Ezuri, Renegade Leader x1 too off theme? I feel like the Overrun would be sick in here. It's not always the most efficient option, but Joraga Warcaller has very nice versatility, if you have 5 or 7 mana it's a huge buff. If you use Warcaller, I really liked having 1 or 2 Immaculate Magistrate, which also synergizes with your card draw effects.

Have you thought about switching out some copies of Nissa for Wellwisher? Wellwisher lacks Haste, but it comes out sooner and counts as an elf (it's almost always less life, but might give more offense).

Really neat take on Elves, Green isn't known for this kind of thing, but maybe it should be!

Flavuss no worries, glad to help! Feel free to tag me in any future brew you’re wanting feedback for.

One note on Joraga Warcaller, is he’s a very glass-cannon card. If your opponent is holding up any mana as you attack, they can just kill/bounce him before blocks and suddenly you’re army is caught with their pants down. Not to say he isn’t incredably powerful, just that he requires some very careful piloting. He works well alongside any creature that can redirect targets (Spellskite), or any creature that can grant him protection (Giver of Runes, Selfless Savior, Selfless Spirit).

wallisface I made a few tweaks to make the list more +1+1 counters centered , what do you think now? I thought as the finisher as Joraga Warcaller + Bioshift (hopefully with at least one hardened scales) to boost all the board.

Growth-Chamber Guardian adapt ability can be decent but the thing was to drop it after Bramblewood Paragon to thin the deck a little bit and to have another fast creature in hand. Do you think its wrong? depending on the board Pelt Collector can reach 5/5 , i dont think thats too bad for a 1 drop that can be used to move the counters on Joraga Warcaller no? feel free to correct me. BotaNickill Thank you i'll give it a look :)

Imo your list would be better without Hardened Scales - the only card that utilises it well currently is Bramblewood Paragon (Pelt Collector just gets out of range of gaining more counters quicker, Growth-Chamber Guardian being a 5/5 instead of a 4/4 is meh, and the extra counter on Joraga Warcaller feels negligible).

I think, because you’re a stompy deck, you’d probably benefit from ditching Hardened Scales and Bioshift in favour of more stompy/aggressive cards, like Rancor and maybe Aspect of Hydra, or some Elf mana-dorks to help you spew your hand out onto the board quicker
