Improbable Alliance

Enchantment

Whenever you draw your second card each turn, create a 1/1 blue Faerie creature token with flying.

[[symbol:4]: Draw a card, then discard a card.

oh nice call with Improbable Alliance! I also like Divine Visitation too. +1

You have opened my eyes. I am, in fact, running one Cryptic Serpent so the nonbo doesn't matter. I'll run Treasure Cruise instead of Improbable Alliance. The only thing I worry there is that my turn 2's probability of having board presence goes from 79% to 70%, and I am more prone to getting slammed by Bloodsoaked Champion and the like. But that card advantage though...

Thanks for taking time to check me out, zapyourtumor!

I haven't kept up with the newest sets. Thanks for turning me on to Consider. I'm going to try it out in Radical Idea's spot. That 2 mana is pretty restrictive in the mid game I find.

I've wonder about Jori En, Ruin Diver for the longest as well. I honestly run Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip primarily for the creature half. I'll run Jori En in Jace's spot, but I worry that the mana curve is bloated at 3 with him and Irencrag Pyromancer.

I see Expressive Iteration as a win more card for me in this build. I could be completely wrong. I'll test it out last and once everything else seems solidified. Probably in Improbable Alliance's spot.

I've ran this iteration with Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time before. The nonbo with Cryptic Serpent always felt bad. I recently added Serpent. Despite its unassuming nature, it definitely has helped me stabilize some matches. I think I'll try to squeeze in 1 Dig because that value is way too good to write off.

I do love me some Magma Spray. Scorching Dragonfire is there because of local meta reasons. Death Baron is a menace!

Crackling Drake was always so hard to cast. The mana and color requirements were always so hard on me. Especially when I found myself having to shock or ping myself for the mana way more than I'd like. 4 mana by turn 6 always seems harder than it should, and I feel anxious when I don't have mana open for a Lightning Strike or Negate.

Thanks for the feedback!

This is an excellent idea for a deck! Burn with beaters!

My only suggestions would be that Light Up the Stage is kind of a non-bo with Isochron Scepter since you can't imprint the exiled cards. Since you are running blue and red both there are tons of cards that can recur spells from the graveyard that might be better and blue just has access to straight up draw spells. Light Up the Stage is really intended as one of the workarounds to mono-Red not having access to true draw effects that aren't attached to wheels or looting. Expressive Iteration is just a straight up better card imo when running blue splash since you get a card in hand and a card you can cast from exile. If you're really intent on running Light Up the Stage you might think about replacing the Sceptres with something that just straight copies spells (too many to list here).

For your sideboard: Izzet Charm gives you lots of options and a wheel draw. Azorius Charm gives you draw or the lifelink can be amazing on your pile of golems you just put out. The other ability is also nice for dealing with tricky indestructible creatures or the like. Peek gives you vital information and cantrip draw, but I get it can be hard to run in a deck that is just splashing blue. Dragon's Claw will help you with a burn mirror and work with most of your cards.

Other fun stuff: Improbable Alliance synergizes with your whole deck plan if you add in more of the card draw as does Saheeli, Sublime Artificer and The Royal Scions

Other fast card draw: Fire Prophecy and Glimpse of Freedom

Tipo Improbable Alliance.

Deck looks interesting and description was a nice read, I'm surprised you didn't find any political joke to make around Improbable Alliance though!

You could insert a single copy of Fling since it can be a 1 hit k/o with Rielle, the Everwise after a while, and otherwise you can just discard it anyway.

Cheers!
