When Everglades enters the battlefield, sacrifice it unless you return an untapped Swamp you control to its owner's hand.

Rocketman988 on Demon Till Your Dreams Come True

77hi77, it makes me so excited to hear that you've caught the Rakdos bug and that my decklist and primer has helped inspire you to make Rakdos your own! You've made my day. He's such an unconventional powerhouse, and it's fun to watch players' faces when they realize the game state has suddenly shifted against them dramatically.

Your comment got me thinking about how to best verbalize the theory behind the deck, and when I began typing my response, I realized I had a lot more to say on the topic of "how the deck doesn't fall behind" when it attacks with Rakdos than I thought I would. So instead of replying with a book of text in the comments here, I created a new section in the primer called "Rakdos Game Theory". If you give it a read through, it should help you understand how I've attempted to solve the issue of how to survive attacking that you commented about.

I'd love to hear more about the direction you're taking your deck, but if you're not ready to share yet, send me a link to your deck when you are! The basics of not falling behind when you attack with Rakdos are mana density, card efficiency, and resource denial. If you want to build Rakdos on a budget, you'll want effects that packs as much mana onto each permanent as possible. Think Gilded Lotus, Everflowing Chalice, Chromatic Orrery, Sceptre of Eternal Glory, Dreamstone Hedron, Nyx Lotus, Rakdos Carnarium, Everglades, Dormant Volcano, stuff like that. That way, sacrificing hurts less because the bulk of your mana stays on a single permanent. Token producers like Wand of Orcus and Abhorrent Overlord are also excellent so that you can sacrifice the free value permanents instead of critical resources. Finally, play symmetrical table hate pieces like Pox, Shadowgrange Archfiend, Tectonic Hellion, Death Cloud, Insurrection, and Curse of the Cabal to keep everyone low on resources like you are. If you can afford them, the trio of It That Betrays, Tergrid, God of Fright  Flip, and The Reaver Cleaver are in my opinion mandatory in any list that wants to prioritize attacking with Rakdos.

I co-sign almost everything ldvatwa said, but I'm here to take it a step further..

I agree on cutting Leaden Myr, Tree of Perdition, Triskaidekaphobia, and Skeletal Vampire. I'm also wondering why Sever the Bloodline is here; do your friends play a lot of tokens too?

Adding Bontu's Monument is a good idea, but have you also thought about Mycosynth Wellspring & Ichor Wellspring as well?

You lack only one of the upkeep token generators in Mono-, that is Dreadhorde Invasion. Despite that, you otherwise have all the token generation in the world for . A couple of stax pieces like a Contamination & Smokestack, etc., could easily slide into here without changing very much at all..

Speaking of Mono-, is there any particular reason you are not running Necropotence and/or Bolas's Citadel?

Finally your land situation. I think you will want to cut down on your non-basic utility lands. Even though you are running Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, you will want to maximize your Swamp-count to consistently get the most out of Cabal Coffers (and goes triple for Cabal Stronghold), or if you even want to consistently play your Everglades & Lake of the Dead!

I would cut Barren Moor, Hagra Broodpit  Flip, Malakir Mire  Flip, Phyrexian Tower, and Vesuva; all for basic Snow-Covered Swamps... and maybe a Karn's Bastion since you are running several Planeswalkers..

I was considering the Corpse Harvester because 3 of the 5 Undying creatures here is a Zombie... and more Ramp is always cool..

The way I saw it, Imperial Seal & Corpse Harvester would replace Read the Bones & Gray Merchant of Asphodel, respectively..

The only reason I'm not auto-including the Wasteland is because of running Cabal Coffers, Everglades, Lake of the Dead, Bubbling Muck, and Mutilate..

Forever Young/Gravepurge are both great ways to reanimate any creatures from your graveyard with Bolas's Citadel (even triggering Syr Konrad's ability.
Tortured Existence is in my opinion much better than Phyrexian Reclamation in reanimator orientated decks and is "cheaper" to use. I use it in my Syr Konrad's For the Void as part of the engine, together with Desecrated Tomb (which also makes BLACK tokens for Ayara) + Phyrexian Altar to go infinite.
Songs of the Damned, Crypt of Agadeem, Everglades - are all nice and cheap ramp cards for mono black decks.

Overall, the decklist looks pretty good! :)

Hmmmm... maybe try some stupid combo with Bolas's Citadel, sac Kokusho, the Evening Star with any free sac outlet, use Mortuary/Haunted Crossroads to get Kokushko back on top of library to recast it? Can also do that with Gray Merchant of Asphodel. But its just very junky combo :D
Also needs some ramp.. Bubbling Muck, Dark Ritual; Arcane Signet/Charcoal Diamond for black mana, Sol Ring/Mind Stone for some colorless. Everglades could be useable aswell. Jet Medallion - a bit pricey, but should help too.

Great deck! you are a far more advanced brewer than i so ill just state the obvious with some land suggestions... Leechridden Swamp , Cabal Stronghold , Everglades and Karn's Bastion all seem like they would fit in. also have you considered running Terrain Generator or Thawing Glaciers to get swamps out more frequently or heck even a Black Market for some mana-ramp?
