SufferFromEDHD love the creative ideas! Please keep them coming!

Agree completely on Breaking Point. I ordered one after you suggested it because it's so good. I'm still running Fault Line in its place for now only because it basically says "destroy most creatures AND do twice that damage to each opponent". But I may end up putting it in for Pyrohemia.

Molten Influence is a perfect fit card for a spellslinger burn deck like this one. No one wants to play Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend effects more than I do! I did end up cutting those for ramp and card draw because I kept running out of gas. So Molten Influence would be a great fit if there was more room for interaction. I think decks without Thrumming Stone can run far fewer Dragon's Approach for a more resilient game but I don't mind if this is glass cannon build.

I go back and forth on Dragon Mage! I was just tinkering with it again this morning. I love the upside but hate that it takes a turn to get going. And I also haven't figured out the correct number of dragons. Even in this deck I only see 1 or 2 activations before the game is over, only 1 in 5 ar best see a third. Maybe I'll try it in place of Commune with Lava which also takes a turn to leverage.

Agree that Solemn Simulacrum is a bit clunky. I justified it because Turn 4 robot guarantees Turn 5 Solphim with an indestructibility counter. I'll try out Endless Atlas.

Thank you for sharing!

For global haste you can use Fires of Yavimaya, Concordant Crossroads, Mass Hysteria, and Urabrask the Hidden who will also conveniently turn off other people's haste. Anger and Barbarian Class also give haste after more effort.

Ant Queen, Artifact Mutation, Battle Hymn, Circle of Dreams Druid, Dragon Broodmother, Pest Infestation, Scute Swarm, Tempt with Vengeance, Sylvan Offering, Termagant Swarm are all useful if you can give haste to all of them.

Birds of Paradise is just the best mana dork.

You have green, so you might as well use the standard ramp package with Cultivate , Kodama's Reach, Explore , Farseek, , Rampant Growth, Three Visits and Nature's Lore. Probably ignore most mana rocks, because people are going to want to vandalblast you just because of the treasures.

Relentless Assault, Scourge of the Throne, Combat Celebrant, Hexplate Wallbreaker, World at War grant extra combats, with Hellkite Charger and Aggravated Assault potentially going infinite.

Vandalblast goes in every red deck. Even though youll have a ton of treasures i'd still run Brotherhood's End too

For draw spells consider Scroll Rack, Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, Soul's Majesty, Furious Rise, Rishkar's Expertise, Beast Whisperer, Shamanic Revelation, Disciple of Bolas, Pact of the Serpent, Painful Truths, Harmonize, Sign in Blood, Night's Whisper, Read the Bones, Ambition's Cost, Ancient Craving, Damnable Pact, Commune with Lava, Lifeblood Hydra, or maybe Necropotence although the color restricion on necro is tough, treasures should take care of it.

Fable of the Mirror-Breaker  Flip, Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer , The Reaver Cleaver , Gadrak, the Crown-Scourge , Ancient Copper Dragon , Old Gnawbone Ziatora, the Incinerator for more treasure makers. Pyrohemia and Pestilence could be fun with the extra mana. Awaken the Woods is an amazing x spell too, but wont appreciate the two aforementioned cards.

If you're using magda the deck will benefit from dragons and expensive artifacts. throw in Imperial Recruiter and Worldly Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Demonic Tutor all go in your colors. so you can get her more consistently. Darksteel Forge and Gate to Phyrexia can be tutored into play with her for five treasure.

If you use dragons, you could add Dragonstorm, but you should carefully consider how many cheap spells you expect to be able to cast if you arent building specifically towards this card. Chatterstorm, Empty the Warrens, Yawgmoth's Will, Jeska's Will, Mana Geyser, and Manamorphose, Past in Flames are all good on their own and would add synergy.

If it ends up dragon tribal, cards like Crippling Fear , Kindred Dominance, Crux of Fate

Swashbuckler Extraordinaire is a very good payoff for using treasures if you dont use certain other nightmarish dragons like Atarka, World Render, Blast-Furnace Hellkite, Terror of Mount Velus, Thrakkus the Butcher

Welcome to Magic, I see you've started off by picking the best format, Commander. Huzzah!

Might I recommend Loyal Unicorn, since your deck revolves so much around controlling your Commander and attacking?

You only have a handful of Equipment, but what about Godo, Bandit Warlord to give you more extra attack phases?

There isn't much in the way of card draw or card advantage here, what about cards like Faithless Looting, Furious Rise, Commune with Lava, Jeska's Will, etc?

Not sure how new you are to the game, but do you know about an ability called Exalted? That can be a great source of power for you too with your current build. Consider the land Cathedral of War for an example of what I mean.

I agree that it does lack a little in draw, yes - was hoping the Commune with Lavas would go a little way

Dragon Mantle isn’t half bad, and makes good use of excess combo mana, and a veeerry narrow push I might be able to run one Valakut Awakening  Flip - options on the table aren’t great I’m afraid but if you’ve any suggestions please do let me know.

Yeah, that was a good call, taking out the Harvest Pyre. It works, but the Commune with Lava is better by far. Gonna have to get that soon... But yeah, I'll tell you about how it handles as I discover things.

Thank you for your suggestions IHATENAMES and Coward_Token.

Regarding Hidetsugu, Devouring Chaos, I should've written a deck update disclaimer that I'm just play-testing it right now. Mindleecher is still in its slot in paper. I'm not a big fan that it is 7 total mana to cast & activate it once. I rationalized that it would be a bit more doable with treasure tokens available, but still not ideal.

I think I had Vance's Blasting Cannons  Flip in an older version of my Maybe Board, or it's in the Maybe Board of my Moxfield version of the deck. I honestly forgot about it lol. I'd definitely consider it, especially with the option for repeated removal on its flip side.

I've for sure play-tested Ghirapur AEther Grid in the past and wasn't too excited, personally. In the games I've actually played the deck IRL, I felt like I got the best use out of treasures by having them up for mana for the instant-speed removal and interaction I'm currently running.

After play-testing and playing with more X-spells in the earliest versions of the deck ( Exsanguinate and Commune with Lava), I decided to move away from X spells since they felt really bad to get stranded with impulse draw. I think Bolas's Citadel fits a similar role that Indomitable Creativity would, but has the upsides of being repeatable, can hit the table for damage, and can be tutored out by Magda, Brazen Outlaw.

Phyrexian Arena, for me, falls into that weird space of not being amazing, but being just good enough to keep around. I'm a bit more biased since I've had the fortune of playing it turns 2-3 in the IRL games I've played with this deck. It helped me stay consistent with land drops and keeping my hand stocked enough. I have considered Stinging Study as a potential replacement. I'm always trying to find the right mix of repeated/incremental effects vs burst effects.

Regarding my utility lands, I only included the Urborg because I pulled a copy from Timespiral Remastered, and had a couple copies of Crypt Ghast around that I bought back in my earliest RTR days lol. I definitely have a Mikokoro around that I could likely swap in.
