Cabal Stronghold/Cabal Coffers - Former budget, latter not. Big black mana producing lands. Contamination does shut them off though. Should that be an issue, note Infernal Darkness as a potential alternative.

Crypt of Agadeem - Ramp

Bojuka Bog - Personally, not a huge fan of tapped lands. But with fetches, you can use at instant speed. Not needed but worth considering depending on amount of GY decks in the meta.

Shizo, Death's Storehouse > Rogue's passage - Once budget opens, this is an upgrade. Not needed but worth considering.

Contamination - Sacrifice synergy. High synergy with bitterblossom, reassembling skeleton and any other creature that can return to field.

Syphon Mind > Dark Tutelage - While you have a relatively low avg cmc of 3.00, black has better draw that doesn't hurt you as badly. Not to mention it's steady draw, which can be good, but sometimes burst draw is preferred. Syphon mind is draw 3, each opponent discard 1. Budget friendly too.

Skullclamp - Speaking of draw, this goes well with all your sac synergies.

Murderous Rider > Murder - Can hit Walkers, is versatile as a creature with lifelink that can recoup your lifeloss. Almost a strict upgrade.

Feed the Swarm - Removal that hits enchantments. Black has difficult with artifacts and enchantments. I can provide you with some potential artifact removal should you wish depending on your meta. But this might be worth considering given that a Rest in Peace can mess u up.

Maybe Corpse Dance - With your sac outlets, you can ignore the negative aspect of the card. Also do note that after a wipe, you can choose the order in which your creatures enter the GY if they go together simultaneously.

Dark Ritual - Simple ritual ramp

Mind Stone - Ramp when you need it, draw when you don't.

Oubliette - Commander hate

At the risk of being too risky and pricey, Hatred - Do note life loss is additional cost to cast but it can be fun with use with your commander, either with it's ability or commander damage. Not to mention the political aspect of using it on your opponents attacking each other (Bonus points if you use it on their commander).

Beseech the Mirror > Diabolic tutor - It has another black symbol for your commander, can act as a sac outlet and even a potential free spell. Pretty much a strict upgrade.

Cabal stronghold should be cut IMO because it isn't impactful enough. You need 4 basics just to break even and 5 basics just for 1 mana. It doesn't get a benefit from urborg like coffers does. If this was a more basic, budget deck I could see it's inclusion, but I don't feel its impactful enough for a build of this quality. What has your experience been with it? Perhaps swap in a Bojuka Bog and/or a fetchland? Bog is nice given your lack of grave hate (meta dependent). The fetchland is nice because it can bring in bog at instant speed or even witches cottage. Not to mention potential shuffling synergy. None of needed of course, just wanted to offer a potential alternative utility land that could still tap for black (unlike stronghold). Urborg allows you to keep the fetch until you need it too!

Should neither of those lands interest you, perhaps a Deserted Temple to untap coffers/nykthos/crypt + politics?

I notice a lot of your deck is devotion based, how has that been going for you? How often did you need devotion on board for a card like Sanguimancy where it just didn't pan out as needed? I think sanguimancy is a ripe cut, expensive cost and boardstate required.

At the risk of winmore, Alhammarret's Archive?

In Garruk's Wake - 7-9 mana for a wipe is a bit expensive. How has it been? Same idea with Increasing Ambition. 5 mana for a card and then 8 for 2 cards is a bit steep. I think Vampiric Tutor to help you set up draws, cast "for free" and at instant speed is better.

One thing I will say, I love the synergy of the entire deck, seems to flow very nicely without too much fat on it. I know most Krrik decks focus on a lower avg cmc to go with their speedy commander. What made you chose a more midrange approach, the resiliency? Have you thought of cutting down the avg cmc from 4.00 to 3.8 or potentially 3.6? Speeding it up would make this even more deadly!

I would have recommended Cabal Coffers but given your budget, perhaps a Cabal Stronghold in place of Piranha Marsh. Marsh isn't impactful, at least maybe try a Bojuka Bog should you wish for something more budget but relevant.

Another great but expensive card is Alhammarret's Archive to double your draw + lifegain

Bubbling Muck - Ramp!

Murderous Rider - Removal that can target PW's and can be a creature with lifelink

Thanks d00d!

Hall of the Bandit Lord Urborg fixes this. The infect/poison strategy NEEDS haste. On that thought: Lightning Greaves.

Blinkmoth Nexus this is very narrow but it can speed up the Inkmoth win. It can carry auras/equipment.

Bojuka Bog free removal.

Locust Miser neat tax + tribal.

Mirror of the Forebears/Mirage Mirror solid clones.

Imp's Mischief staple in mono black.

Koskun Falls color pie bending blast from the past.

Hey Indie,

First off I really like the lands you have assembled and the suggestions from SufferFromEDHD are all good.

You are definitely going to want an artifact ramp package.

Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Arcane Signet, Fellwar Stone, Gilded Lotus, Thran Dynamo

Special Mention to Nyx Lotus, it could be good being in mono black. and Jeweled Lotus, pays for your commander for free on turn 1 even.

Sword of the Animist is not bad ramp at all and buffs yours rats

Commander's Plate might be cute.

Liliana of the Dark Realms, makes sure you always get a land drop and could make your swamps tap for four.

Chittering Witch if your playing with more opponents.

Crypt Ghast is sort of ramp, but doubles your swamps. Very good in mono black.

Dauthi Voidwalker is not on theme at all but is just sooo much value in a two cost card I have to recommend it.

God-Eternal Bontu is excellent draw power in the right situation.

Dont forget you can run any number of Relentless Rats

Gray Merchant of Asphodel will heal you up a lot and hurt your opponents

Krav, the Unredeemed is also great card draw.

Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, has card draw, removal, and proliferate all on one card

Deadly Rollick, potentially free removal

Defile, cheap good removal

Thrilling Encore saves you from a board wipe or lets you bring everything back after sacrificing it all to like God-Eternal Bontu

Phyrexian Arena some ok card draw.

Bojuka Bog if you are worried about graveyards

Mutilate, a good board wipe in mono black

Night's Whisper, Read the Bones, Sign in Blood, are a great draw package for mono black

Toxic Deluge a great board wipe for when things need resetting, and you could follow with Thrilling Encore and get it all back

Syphon Mind is great draw if your playing with more players

Victimize - is really really strong, get rid of one weak thing for two of your best things

Yawgmoth's Will - lets you treat your graveyard like your hand for a turn

Lord Skitter, Sewer King makes rats

Marrow-Gnawer - lets you make lots of rats

Infectious Inquiry - good draw and gives poison

Ogre Slumlord - makes rats when your creatures or your opponents creatures die.

Tangled Colony - if your opponent has to block it or it dies to like Blasphemous Act will make you rats

Vraska's Fall removal and poison counter

Drown in Ichor removal and poison

Bontu's Monument all your creatures cost less

Rat Colony can have any number and they buff themselves, and cost less mana than Relentless Rats

Typhoid Rats deathtouch rat opponents wont want to block

Crypt Rats can board wipe but can also win the game if you give it infect, doesnt work with your commander because toxic specifies combat damage but does work if you give it infect and deal damage with it's ability.

Ratcatcher tutors rats, and gives you card advantage

Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm - buffs your rats and lets you get rats back

Wave of Rats has blitz and reanimates itself

Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni rat that steals opponents stuff

Nashi, Moon Sage's Scion rat that steals opponents stuff

Adaptive Automaton is a rat and buffs rats

Okiba-Gang Shinobi rat makes opponents discard and has ninjutsu

Filth gives all your rats swampwalk pairs well with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

Dark Ritual lets your get a head start or some extra mana a turn you need it

Tainted Strike instant speed infect, funny in multiplayer because you can use it on anyone's creatures.

Phyresis Outbreak gives poison and might kill opponents creatures

Feed the Swarm enchantment removal in black

Vat Emergence gets a creature back and proliferates

Spread the Sickness destroys a creatures and proliferates

Pact of the Serpent strong tribal card draw

Living Death swap graveyards with battlefields, great after sacrificing your whole board to draw cards

Skullclamp sack small rats for card draw

Thrumming Stone if you go the Relentless Rats or Rat Colony route

Coat of Arms your rats will be huge

Bolas's Citadel this card is dumb lol, lots of casting power and then you hit Gray Merchant of Asphodel and keep going lol

Icon of Ancestry kinda draw buffs rats...is ok

Contagion Engine proliferate twice each time you activate

Eldrazi Monument gives creatures flying indestructible and +1/+1

Grafted Exoskeleton gives a creature infect, great with Crypt Rats

Sword of Truth and Justice proliferate sword

Bad Moon buff all black creatures, opponents too

Phyresis gives infect again good with Crypt Rats

Greed card draw

Vraska, Betrayal's Sting proliferate planes walker

I know that's a lot but hopefully gave you some ideas to work with!

My recommendation is to cut The number of colors to 2. Green and Black should be the way to go. If you must have a third, then I'd recommend White or Blue so you can play either Ghave or Xavier Zap, respectively. Even then I wouldn't run more spells of white or blue.

Either way, a Fungus/Saproling deck should be creature intensive, so I wouldn't recommend adding more instants or sorceries except for Tear Asunder-- mainly as an option for dealing with Indestructible permanents.

Once that is taken care of your next step is to decide what kind of deck to build. You'll want to build around either Mycoloth, Slimefoot the Stowaway or The Mycotyrant. Fungus and Saproling creatures should have death triggers or activated abilities with more controlling aspects like Cankerbloom.

If you insist on having Spore counters then have Thelon, but only put in any combination of Utopian Mycon, Thorn Thallid, Spore Flower, Psychotrope Thallid and Deathspore Thallid. Otherwise Thelon should only exist in your deck to pump up your creatures. If you choose to go this path I'd recommend The Ozolith so you don't lose the spore counters. In which case I'd recommend adding Heroic Intervention.

As for Lands I would highly recommend Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth. Adding any combination of Evolving Wilds, Fabled Passage, and Terramorphic Expanse should only happen if you are playing Sporemound. Bojuka Bog is highly recommended.

I hope this helps. Thank you for reading me out. Happy Hunting!

Like wallisface said, this looks very susceptible to removal spells. 3x Loran's Escape is probably not sufficient. Invisible Stalker is a great creature for a deck such as this. If you can find creatures that have built in durability/protection, those tend to be favored in aura decks like this. To that end, if not creatures, there are def auras that can help give your creatures more staying power - Hyena Umbra being high on that list.

I don't think All That Glitters is worth it. It's half an Ethereal Armor at double the MV.

1xHall of Heliod's Generosity seems pretty valuable here. I also think 4 more dual lands would help, especially given how many spells you have that require either or WW or BB to cast. (something many people try to avoid in non-monocolored decks) And personally, when I play with black, I usually include 1xBojuka Bog and often 1xCastle Locthwain.

I also suggest limiting instants like Fracture to the sideboard as much as possible. You want/need as many enchantments down as possible. Use spells like On Thin Ice as much as you can. Classics like Journey to Nowhere and Oblivion Ring aren't the lowest MV or as fast as instants, but the bump to the enchantments that care is worth it.

The thing I really like about Kor Spiritdancer is the draw card. Almost every deck needs a way to draw extra cards, and repeatable effects are among the most powerful. That also makes your 'dancer even more of a target. It may well be easier to use different creatures and add a draw card spell than it is to protect and draw cards from your 'dancer. It's a tantalizing, but difficult creature to successfully build around.

When it comes to the sideboard, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to include spells duplicate mainboard spells. IE, Fatal Push isn't doing anything Path to Exile doesn't already do well. Kaya's Guile, on the other hand, using the sacrifice mechanic, does do something Path doesn't - it get's around hexproof AND indestructible. You might find Extirpate useful. Fracture should be in the sideboard. That eliminates the need for Mortify.
