I've heard of a new rules change with Haakon, Stromgald Scourge and Ashes of the Fallen which I don't totally understand but does this mean that Conspiracy doesn't work anymore either? To specify the idea is to play either type changing card and choose the Knight creature type to play any creature from my graveyard.
Just building a Hakkon EDH deck now and I'm quite sad about the idea that Maskwood Nexus is the only card in the game that can let me type change to make it work.

I'm currently tinkering with an idea for a deck built around the newly announced

My current gameplan is to have cards such as Ashes of the Fallen/Conspiracy to ensure that anything that ends up in my graveyard is a sliver. Then I can use the Gravemother's encore ability to make multiple tokens of each creature to great effect. And since everything should be a sliver, they can then have the building tribal effects that slivers are known for. I have included Embalmer's Tools and Convergence of Dominion to help lower the encore activation costs, so if there's another card that does this specifically please let me know.
I've included several tutors to use to fetch my Conspiracy effects or powerful pieces so we can try to abuse the definition of "sliver."
I'm still in the early exploratory phase of operation so I'll take any and all recommendations. If you feel like there's a critically important sliver I missed let me know, but mostly I am hoping for suggestions for legendary creatures to make into adopted slivers.
Ultimately I am looking to make this deck a 7-8 in terms of power, as I want it to be fun and ideally effective, without trying to force this thing into peak efficiency.

Yooo Ashes of the Fallen is definitely a must include. As there has been many games that I wheeled or discarded non-dragons but wish I had access to them later. Plus 2cmc is very little invest for a huge bonus

Nice looks awesome! I never worked with dragons before but hopefully these could be useful. Ashes of the Fallen just in case you need to cast a non dragon from your graveyard, some card draw just in case Night's Whisper, Read the Bones, and Sign in Blood. Really all I got hope some of these help!

Hey sir, I thought you would be interested in an update (not sure how long ago) but Ashes of the Fallen apparently does NOT work with Haakon. Link Here for rulings.

I don't usually use very many (and none in Dimir), but Modal Dual Faced spells with a land on the back (Malakir Rebirth Flip for example) are really good in decks that want to run a higher land count, as these offer you a so-so spell when you don't need a land, and a land when the spell is unplayable. 40 is a lot of lands, I only have 1 deck with more, and that's a dedicated landfall combo deck, so I'd try to run at least 4 MDFC lands. The good ones tend to be really pricey, but some are affordable.
Resculpt and Ravenform are good ways in Dimir to Exile a creature (which does matter sometimes) or to deal with an artifact permanently (Karn aside). I think both are fairly cheap. I wouldn't hesitate to run Resculpt over Go For The Throat, who cares about a 4/4 in Commander? The 1/1 is even less relevant.
If you want a low budget Zombie that is recursive (and can bring back your Midnight Reaper for example) is Haakon, Stromgald Scourge. Haakon's main asset is that he has to be exiled, and some decks don't come prepared to do that, or don't want to expend the card on such a weenie. Anyways, any Knight that can be cast for colourless (Universal Automaton, but also Ashes of the Fallen or Maskwood Nexus can make other 1 drops into knights) will go infinite with a sac outlet and Pawn of Ulamog or Sifter of Skulls. Not sure if that's enough Zombies, but there are other Zombie knights. You can also tutor for various pieces of this kind of clunky combo with Transmute cards, most of which are cheap.

CoarselyRefined. I'll definitely reconsider Illusionist's Bracers. At the time, I cut it because I felt the equip cost was too expensive. I'll experiment with it though some more!
seshiro_of_the_orochi. Oooh Ashes of the Fallen. Hadn't seen that one. How do you feel that stacks up against Arcane Adaptation?
OLucas. TOTALLY agree Goatnapper I REALLY wanted to fit in, but is just really bad in this deck. I think I'd rather run something like Thrull Champion if it's for the memes. Then again, what would you cut for it? Definitely tempting... I had Mercenary Informer originally alongside Rebel Informer but decided to cut one. Haven't seen the goblin stealing one though! Which is that?
