Well you seem to be lacking in flying defense. You could also use some recursion since your token production is only 8 cards I would personally drop the Arboreal Alliance since you are not producing that many tokens. And I know it is a way to use all the mana you can produce but you need some more reusable uses for the mana.

I spent most of this weekend testing your deck against some of mine which are also go wide strategies. And what I kept running into was that your ability to get damage through was struggling. I think you need to get some more sources of trample or bypassing defenders. Another problem I was having was you would be top decking to quickly.I felt it just kept running out of steam.

I personally would drop Arbor Elf for Argothian Elder. It may cost more mana but it would let you untap Nykthos without Yavimaya in play, drop Quirion Ranger for Seeker of Skybreak just a bit less hassle for untapping a creature. even though she gets an interesting trick when you have Ashaya out. I would also drop Woodland Bellower for the Skyshroud Poacher just because it is easier to reuse. Elvish Guidance can have its uses but I think Growing Rites of Itlimoc  Flip is still a bit more useful, for your mana outlet I would absolutely keep Staff of Domination over Thousand-Year Elixir. I am surprised you dropped both Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen and Jagged-Scar Archers since those were your only real answers to flying maybe consider Raking Canopy or Gravity Well to help against flying heavy decks. Mobilize and Vitalize are a little too weak for the card slots I think. I think a couple of more useful options would actually be Taunting Elf, Nemesis Mask, and/or Tempting Licid of those 3 taunting elf is weakest. But what those would allow you to do is get your pumped up elves through with minimal losses and minimal investment for the finishing blow.

I do have more thoughts if you want but as always feedback on what you are aiming for always helps (EG: Going tall, going wide, elf ball, kill through combat, or focusing on I win effects (I don't like I win effects))

i really enjoyed the enforce that u had describing the deck and the mechanics.

i'm playing Lathiel for a long long time and i'm updating him a lot since then.

all the cards that u described i alredy test it, some of then still in the deck but mostly i had cut from the deck in order to be fastier and be more "Go for the troat" (my playgroup dont play easy haha).

firstly i wanna say the awesome cards that i wouldn't dare to touch that u metion before: Aetherflux Reservoir Authority of the Consuls Mangara, the Diplomat True Conviction Worldly Tutor Teferi's Protection Ozolith, the Shattered Spire Branching Evolution Light of Promise Well of Lost Dreams Scholar of New Horizons Tribute to the World Tree Esper Sentinel

it took me a long time to get this deck better and i still getting some frustations but if you like to consider, here some tips of cards to be implemented in order to have a better experience with it: ( mostly of this cards i proxed it because i dont wanna spend a lot of money and because i dont have a headache changing they every 2 months when wizards bring some new things )

starting with the nasty combos :

God Mode ( infinity mana + infinity draw :D ) : Argothian Elder or Priest of Titania + Quirion Ranger+ Ashaya, Soul of the Wild + Beast Whisperer with Eternal Witness in the deck u can even cast your grave again

Lathiel Gatling Gun: Walking Ballista + Heliod, Sun-Crowned or Cleric Class

“Life moves pretty fast..” — Ferris Bueller’s Spike Feeder + Light of Promise

ramp : Marwyn, the Nurturer : counters will get him a good ramp Mirari's Wake : awesome ramp Land Tax: can save you in early game Burgeoning : get ahead Priest of Titania : every elf in the battlefield Exploration : get ahead again Arbor Elf : very good with Selesnya Sanctuary or some mana that u need Mana Reflection: awesome ramp Circle of Dreams Druid : gaeas crandle in creature Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx : why not ? proxy <3 Crop Rotation: get those good lands in battlefield Carpet of Flowers: very good against 2 or more people Smothering Tithe : just perfect

draw : Generous Patron: our green budget risky study, perfect in lathiel Guardian Project : good in general The Great Henge : we have big creatures so probably will cost onle 2 green mana Toski, Bearer of Secrets : unstapable, can't be countered and draw Archivist of Oghma: meh... sometimes good sometimes not, but its 2 mana

tutors: Finale of Devastation : go for the troat Enlightened Tutor: very good tutor in our deck Eladamri's Call : get those pieces that u need Fauna Shaman : get those pieces that u need Defense of the Heart: this is funny, but moste of times works haha Yisan, the Wanderer Bard : good in general Natural Order : to the battlefield! Primal Command : say goodbye to ur grave zombie players

utility: Akroma's Will: defense or end game Alhammarret's Archive : it's 5 mana, but double life gain and double draw Eternal Witness : u have awesome cretures that people wanna destroy so... also good piece of combo God Mode Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines : Hushbringer + Hardened Scales, but better Serra Ascendant: sooooo goood in this deck ... first piece to be tutored by yisan, the wanderer bard Angel of Destiny: go for the troat Ashaya, Soul of the Wild: combo, but also a big creature Overwhelming Stampede : go for the troat Walking Ballista: good in general andd combo Cleric Class: combo but also grave Spike Feeder : Snowball effect, one of the best synergy of lathiel, 'each turn' change counters for life/

Good interactions : Aura Shards , Force of Vigor 2 ducks 1 shot ,Farewell exile :) , Kenrith's Transformation (interaction with draw)

Budget per card?

Can you outline how your combos work specifically? I have a general idea but am a bit confused to be honest. I'm sure you're right, I just wanna learn and potentially utilize them in my own decks as well.

Kogla, the Titan Ape + Eternal Witness/Timeless Witness + Rude Awakening/Early Harvest

Sylvan Library - Synergy with top deck manipulation cards like courser, fetchlands. Most importantly, synergy with Abundance to draw 3 of your type of card without loss of life due to replacement effects.

Umbral Mantle - Might be worth considering for part of a combo line that I am unaware of at the moment. Same with Sword of the Paruns potentially.

Maze of Ith + Argothian Elder/Ley Weaver = Infinite mana during the combat phase (helix pinnacle can be a mana outlet, although I think it should be cut).

Ashaya, Soul of the Wild + Argothian Elder/Ley Weaver = Infinite mana

If you were to add Rings of Brighthearth, you could double up on activated abilities like your commander, fetches, thousand year elixir. Although not an entirely serious suggestion, it combos ...... Rings + Deserted Temple + Cradle/Nykthos = Infinite green mana

Nissa, Vital Force - Synergy with cradle, recursion, and it's ult is just one turn away.

Just taking a quick look, but Ashaya, Soul of the Wild would be a good card, turning any creature you cast into landfall. It also synergizes with any of those creatures that taps to untap two lands, like Argothian Elder and Ley Weaver.

It's clunky, but since your bodies tend to be larger, would Pyrohemia work in here? You can wipe out lots of blockers with 4 global damage, and anything blocking a 5/5 at that point will be at 9 damage. Also very clunky would be Berserkers' Onslaught for Double Strike on your 5/5s.

Myriad Landscape is very similar to a Roiling Regrowth effect (or Harrow), getting two landfall is pretty good, and instant speed is potential for interaction when you're making a pair of 5/5 bodies (or more, since you might have Titania out). Blighted Woodland is also a good source of double landfall from a land.

I wish I could +1 again, I don't even have any real suggestions to give you aside from my own personal deckbuilding advice which I don't think is warranted in this type of more competitive build. That being said, I wanted to know your input on these cards have worked for your deck...

Mandate of Peace - Do you just go to combat and not attack, cast it, then proceed to Main Phase 2 and activate your commander? Can't they just cast a spell in response?

  • Compared to Silence, do you prefer it given it stops attacks on your opponents combat step? I guess what I'm asking is, how does one use mandate of peace effectively in your deck? Under which circumstances is it ideal, and circumstances that are less ideal?

Savage Summoning - I don't see it's usefulness here as this is a more competitive build. Could you educate me as to it's effectiveness for you and why you run it over another card like Sylvan Tutor?

While not a serious suggestion given this build, one thing to note is if you were to add in Maze of Ith, it gives you infinite mana during the combat step in conjunction with Argothian Elder. You can then use that mana on staff of domination. Limited, yes, but worth noting if your meta is a bit more aggro than I had first thought (given you're running mandate of peace)
