Argentum Armor

Artifact — Equipment

Equipped creature gets +6/+6.

Whenever equipped creature attacks, destroy target permanent.

Equip (: Attach this to target creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery. This enters the battlefield unattached and stays on the battlefield if the creature this card is attached to leaves the battlefield.)

This is not a half bad pairing of commanders to be honest. The Jeskai combination really opens Boros up to blue artefact synergy and card draw.

Is Dalakos, Crafter of Wonders worth being in the deck when Kraum already has these keywords? I guess you could equip Ardenn too, but using that slot for an extra equipment for synergy may be better.

Maybe something like Argentum Armor or Bloodforged Battle-Axe would work well.

Hello fellow Wyleth, Soul of Card Draw player!

I'm glad you got both Wyleth's and Aesi's precons for a good price. They are reeeeally explosive in gameplay with a few upgrades.

I play a lot of this bad boy, and I want to suggest some swaps below 3 USD for you to take it to a higher ground:

First of all, the ramp. I found out that 2 CMC, untapped ramp is the best for Wyleth. Since he draws so many cards, he can chain rocks and voltron pieces in the same turn, so his next turn is even more explosive than the last one. I almost always have more mana than the Green decks in my pod.

You should run boardwipes that hits your stuff the least:

Also, you can streamline your removal package. All of those are fetchable by Sunforger:

More/better auras and equipment

Cheating equip costs

If you really need to protect yourself against attacks, Ghostly Prison is a way better Palace Guard.

More utility lands

One of my friends has a deck very similar to this. His also features Argentum Armor. In deck as Cat and equipment-heavy as this, I would also suggest Kemba, Kha Enduring has a place.

Crow-Umbra, I’m 100% swapping Argentum Armor for Wear / Tear. Wear/Tear will undoubtedly see more playing time and quite honestly be more useful and fun.

Do you have suggestions for substitutions for Greatsword of Tyr and/or Two-Handed Axe?? Maybe both equipment artifacts cards could be dropped for a singular more synergistic equipment artifact and then another card that does something else??

Also I’d love to checkout your decklist you mentioned and see what I can get from it. Where can I locate it??

Lastly your explanations for why certain cards are better or more useful than others is spot on and very easy to understand!

No prob, glad the suggestions were to your liking! First and foremost, I'd say to focus your upgrades on the aspects of the deck that you have the most fun with, especially in the context of your playgroup or LGS meta.

Personally, I've had a lot of fun running Isshin as a Tokens Go-Wide strat for the past year. My deck is currently running about 12 of the same creatures you currently are. If you're interested, my decklist has a primer which discusses some of the card choices I've made.

Once you are ready to make more upgrades, I think that Wayfarer's Bauble, Greatsword of Tyr, Two-Handed Axe, and Argentum Armor can be your next round of cuts for more synergistic swaps. Argentum Armor is the first one I'd probably swap; it's 12 total mana for a +6/+6 buff and destroying 2 permanents on an attack (if Isshin is out). Dismantling Wave or Wear / Tear could be swaps for Argentum Armor if you want another multi-target removal option. I'd lean Wear/Tear

I was thinking something like Mirror Shield, Ring of Evos Isle, or General's Kabuto with another equipment like Pact Weapon, Hexplate Wallbreaker, or Argentum Armor. Though General's Kabuto might not allow you to put any more equipment onto Tetsuo, I don't really know how that works. You would also have to get rid of the 2/2 rebel on Hexplate Wallbreaker to be able to put it on Tetsuo, and that might be more trouble than it's worth.

@Profet93

Argentum Armor is the best Equipment to take advantage of effects that dodge costs. I almost never pay for the full 12 mana for it up front.

It's enormous P/T boost and destruction trigger have kept it relevant for over a decade, and I don't see that ever changing. The more cards that get printed that dodge costs, the better it becomes.
