Can I get unlimited beginning phases on my turn with Sphinx of the Second Sun and Vesuvan Shapeshifter?

Hey, If I have a Sphinx of the Second Sun in play and copy it with Vesuvan Shapeshifter, I know I get 2 extra beginning phases after my combat phase. However, if I choose to turn Vesuvan Shapeshifter face down on the first new beginning phase and turn it face up during that phase (or the second one?) to copy the Sphinx again, will it add another beginning phase? Is this basically infinite (well, until I run out of cards in my library from my extra draw steps)? Thank you!

Vesuvan Shapeshifter

Sphinx of the Second Sun triggers at the beginning of the post-combat main phase. If you turn Vesuvan Shapeshifter face down during one of the extra upkeeps and then face up copying Sphinx of the Second Sun there will not be the beginning of your post-combat main phase until your next turn and neither the original nor the copy will trigger until then.
