Xathrid Necromancer + Ashes of the Fallen combo?

Sorry guys, I have to ask another question... Xathrid Necromancer + Ashes of the Fallen . Does the combo work as I describe?Assuming that I have both in play, what happens if I sacrifice another creature?Does Necromancer's ability check for human when the creature is put into the graveyard or when it leaves the battlefield?

No.

Xathrid Necromancer 's ability only triggers if the creature is a Human at the time it dies. At the time the creature is on the battlefield, Ashes of the Fallen 's ability will not yet be affecting it, so Xathrid Necromancer 's ability will only trigger if the creature was a Human regardless of Ashes of the Fallen .
