Question about new Guilds of Ravnica card.

So idk if this card will show up yet but this is a question about Emmara, Soul of the Accord. (2 drop 2/2 that has “whenever this creature becomes tapped, create a 1/1 white soldier token with Lifelink”). So my question is if I tap Emmara to pay a convoke cost, would I create the 1/1 and then be able to tap the 1/1 to also help pay for the convoke cost? Or would the triggered ability resolve after the payment of the initial convoke card is paid. Also if that’s the case, then would the token be created before or after the convoke spell is resolved?

In reference to the second question, Emmara's ability is going to go on the stack above the convoke spell. So it will resolve before the spell does.

This will not work. Emmara, Soul of the Accord's ability is a triggered ability, which means it uses the stack. Convoke works by putting a spell on the stack, then you can tap creatures rather than pay mana.
Because of the timing, Emmara, Soul of the Accord's ability will trigger, but not resolve--abilities don't resolve in the middle of paying costs for an item on the stack.
