Careful Cultivation and enchanting artifacts

Asked by CamraMaan 1 year ago

Careful Cultivation can enchant a creature or artifact, but I have to ask if there is a typo, because I'm seeing no benefit to enchanting an artifact...? Is it supposed to be that if it's a creature it gets +1/+3 and reach, and if it's an artifact or creature it gets to tap for two green...? Or is all of that only for creatures, and there's zero benefit to enchanting a noncreature artifact...? The wording makes it look like the benefits are only for creatures. Thanks in advance!

I believe its meant for artifacts that can turn into creatures so you can sneak in more benefits when theyre not currently a creature. idk if that made any sense lol but thats how it seems to me

Ahh, for vehicles... that makes sense. Although I would expect it to then say "enchant creature or Vehicle", as that's already in use on multiple cards, like Swift Reconfiguration. But that at least is a logical use for the card.

Vehicles and Reconfigure Equipment were both in the set, so just saying "Artifact" works to let either be enchanted without worrying about it falling off.
