Ceremonial Knife
Artifact — Equipment
Equipped creature gets +1/+0 and has "Whenever this creature deals combat damage, create a Blood token." (It's an artifact with ", , Discard a card, Sacrifice this: Draw a card.")
Equip (: Attach this to target creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery. This enters the battlefield unattached and stays on the battlefield if the creature this card is attached to leaves the battlefield.)
Polaris on Who controls equipment abilities?
"You" always applies to the controller of the Equipment, and the controller is the one who activates the Equipment's abilities.
UNLESS
The ability is given to the creature. For example, Blinding Powder and Ceremonial Knife both give an activated or triggered ability to the equipped creature, meaning the creature is the source of the ability, and the controller of the creature uses it/gets the benefit. Your Blinding Powder attached to an opponent's creature will let them unattach it to prevent the damage. For these effects, look for this wording: Equipped creature has "this ability."
