I enjoy combinations and permutations; hockey pools were my typical outlet. During the most recent NHL strike I started paying attention to Magic after a 15 year hiatus (this was during Innistrad Block). I was introduced to the Limited and EDH formats, and since then I've been hooked. It's taken a while to assimilate 15 years worth of cards and to hone my abilities as a deck builder. I am part of a good casual group and rarely participate in store events. I also enjoy the social aspect of gaming, avoiding online play to any great degree (I do practice drafting here).

My deck building philosophy: Infinite combo is fine, but win or lose they leave me with a hollow dissatisfied feeling. Instead I try to build highly synergistic value engines, or cascading effects that finish the game a high percentage of the time but still offer the suspense of a reasonable chance of failure. Controlling strategies which completely deny resources to your opponents lead to boring shitty games. With that in mind I try to limit myself to five or fewer board wipes out of the 100, and four is a decent sweet spot.

The decks in my profile are those I own and run against my play group. My two favorite decks to play are Life's a Bitch, Then You Die. and Goodbye Polly Prissy Pants, with game of Game of Clones a close third. My plans this year include building Karlov of the Ghost Council and Inalla, Archmage Ritualist .

Ghostly Prison , Windborn Muse , and Glacial Chasm are all good places to start if you want to avoid combat damage.

You have six walkers which can produce tokens. Have you considered City of Shadows ?

LiquidGaming: At worst you could replace one of your cantrips. Tolarian Winds also seems somewhat counterproductive to your strategy.

How about Relic of Progenitus and Scavenger Grounds to get rid of your graveyard in the event of a game going long?

Hey Kholan95, thanks for the comment and I'm glad you like the list. And yes, shub is a handle I've used for years thanks to Lovecraft's influence.

Thanks for the comment LittleBlueHero! That's a nice idea for using Ashiok's activation against my opponents: I was planning on targeting myself, but could benefit from doing either with The Haunt in play.
