shub Deckling

I enjoy combinations and permutations; hockey pools were my typical outlet. During the most recent NHL strike I started paying attention to Magic after a 15 year hiatus (this was during Innistrad Block). I was introduced to the Limited and EDH formats, and since then I've been hooked. It's taken a while to assimilate 15 years worth of cards and to hone my abilities as a deck builder. I am part of a good casual group and rarely participate in store events. I also enjoy the social aspect of gaming, avoiding online play to any great degree (I do practice drafting here).

My deck building philosophy: Infinite combo is fine, but win or lose they leave me with a hallow dissatisfied feeling. Instead I try to build highly synergistic value engines, or cascading effects that finish the game a high percentage of the time but still offer the suspense of a reasonable chance of failure. Controlling strategies which completely deny resources to your opponents lead to boring shitty games. With that in mind I try to limit myself to five or fewer board wipes out of the 100, and four is a decent sweet spot.

Hey Shub, I added them cards, but also bought a few extras and put them on my sideboard. Are any of them worth a swap into my deck? I may scale back about 3 creatures if the enchantments help create a more potent quick punch type of attack.

I think Aether Vial is too slow for you. Same with Disk; you have every possible sweeper to work with. I'm not a fan of auras generally, how much red mana do you anticipate having to pump Dragon Breath? If you're after a haste enabler that pumps, take a look at Xenagos, God of Revels (I guess that depends on how on theme you want to stay).

Predator Ooze is super slow and triple green is going to make casting it difficult, and Penumbra Wurm is pretty pricey for what you get.

Chromatic Lantern and Coalition Relic would fix your mana better than those two signets. Also, double blue can be hard to achieve in a full spectrum deck. I'd likely swap Counterspell out for Swan Song.
