Blood Clock. bounce maralen to your hand allowing you to draw as normal, then cast her again before passing turn. this would also possibly net you more cards considering you'd have tutored with her prior to playing Blood Clock. so you could set up something for yourself and truly lock out your opponent. also, most of our spells could be 3 or more so Trinisphere in the sideboard could help to further hinder opponent's. And Orb of Dreams, Amulet of Vigor possibly Jester's Scepter. Storage Matrix is rarely used and I think if used in the right deck could be a pain. Was trying to build a Maralen deck with these cards earlier this month but I couldn't figure out any synergies. And they are just suggestions, if you find no use for them no worries! Hopefully you can do it. I'd love to see a control deck that just locks players out. Something new and original! +1

I would honestly try and put more of these in the main as opposed to having them in the side unless you've tested and played this enough where it works well for you! anyhow, take care hope this helps. +1

maybe some land destruction in the main or the side? Ghost Quarter, Field of Ruin or Fulminator Mage to name a few! and with your removal in the side-board you can really hurt tron...just as planned! maybe a couple Read the Bones. at turn 3 they're not bad and you can dig 4 deep in your library as someone pointed out to me on one of my decks! Nixilis is cool but does he help you that much at 5 CMC? I can see him as being a kill or draw spell which is ok. how about a Gray Merchant of Asphodel for a nice bit of life gain/drain. either way +1. I can see how this deck could be effective!

i like the inclusion of Sudden Spoiling. i'd put a Bile Blight or 2 in the side if you could. love decks like these. how does Shadow of Doubt work for you in the main? has it served better than being in the side? +1

if you're able to get your lands back what about your creatures? i know you have Dutiful Return. have you thought about Corpseweft or Empty the Pits as 1 ofs? and possibly a Sidisi, Undead Vizier to find your 1 ofs. just a thought. neat deck. +1

i think budget decks take more creativity and with that comes more spirit of fun and overall enjoyment. this looks like it's interactive and has lots to keep you doing throughout the game. right on! +1

how about Phyrexian Crusader in the side when you play against red or white? that was how i had my devotion deck before i decided to go back to the more traditional route. right on for going more original with yours! +1 also if you can find a place for an Inquisitor's Flail to arm your crusader with, your opponents are screwed!

and no Gray Merchant of Asphodel?!?! you need him to drain your opponent's and get all the life back from your card draw and damage you sustain! take care!

try Conjurer's Closet. especially with Sidisi, Undead Vizier. tutor every turn! it's great! and, Volrath's Stronghold. so good for getting back you creatures you want. i'd find a way to put Bile Blight maybe? but this deck looks awesome and flavorful! +1

if you're playing against people who have been playing for a while, their decks may be a bit faster. part of this is due to their lands not coming in tapped. you have 8 lands that come in tapped which can set you back a bit. also, some of your spells have a higher mana cost which means you won't be able to play them until later. i would play more kill spells to hold off opponent's creature as well as discard spells. you can play token spells too like Lingering Souls or Spectral Procession and sacrifice these to your Bubbling Cauldron. maybe try this...
4x newt 4x redeemer 4x witch move inspiring cleric over to the mainboard and put maybe 3 in. 3x tragic slip in the mainboard 2x angelic accord 2x intangible virtue i think you only need 1 or 2 vault of the archangel. i see what you're trying to do with the deck, you'll get it. just make sure you can play low cost spells quickly so you can keep up with opponents and get your tokens out later to win the game for you. you need lands that come in untapped, cheap creatues and disruption/ kill spells. hope this helped and wasnt too crazy for you. take care and have fun building!
