Semi-valuable. I was running with Hissing Quagmire and it was fine (useful even), but I often wished for another pump (the green desert), and sometimes wished I got an untapped land.

I don't think I would run Rhonas. Yes you get pump/trample, but he doesn't naturally get to attack or block, whereas Harvester is great at keeping you alive vs aggro decks, and if you ever can pull off Lead with an attacking Rhonas, that's pretty nuts too.

So, is this just the cruelest deck ever? What can make it even more reliably troublesome?
August 8, 2017 8:29 a.m.
Modern is out of my league. But if you like Eldrazi, adding some colorless land and the black desert could make a good deck from this one, adding Matter Reshaper, Thought-Knot Seer, Reality Smasher, Distended Mindbender. Some of those, anyway. And if you have these creatures, then Yahenni's Expertise becomes a good card.

Yahenni's Expertise can be a good card, but I can't imagine it for your deck. It will kill Syndicate Trafficker, kill Yahenni, you'll be ruined by your own card. Unless you can contrive to keep some creatures in hand until you play it.

This deck is unfair. I'm interested in any opinions.

Tezzeret might be a good addition, and Never would be mostly an upgrade over Murder, except it doesn't deal with Vehicles.

No don't play Yahenni's Expertise, it kills all your guys.

Hey, ran with this at game day, deck worked fine! Only I didn't have the deserts, and ran with a couple Driven which I liked pretty well and had a different sideboard. The competition was BG delirium (2-0), BG delirium with a -1 counter theme (2-1), UR control (2-0), and then lost to UR prowess where I didn't have answers to the flyers and discard was less than great.

I'm afraid you must cut gifted Aetherborn in the side. With only 11 maindeck black sources, your odds of playing BB early game is extremely low. Replace that with Authority of the Consuls. Noxious Gearhulk is fine though because it's a lategame BB, or a Refurbish or a GPG target.
Never tried it, but I'm not a believer in Void Winnower here. Maybe you could try your Scarab God in its place.

Also, any flash creatures are good against a control deck, though Avacyn is not viable with only 20 lands, there are a couple other options.

As a sideboard plan to beat control, transforming into a monument deck is one way to go. -4 Always Watching, +4 Oketra's Monument, and squeezing in Bygone Bishop (for example 2 main replacing some removal, and 2 side replacing some Hope of Ghirapur, siding in for Authority) will leave you overwhelming their removal with all the cheap creatures and card draw you get.

Sideboard I think will be as listed above. I remember from other decks, Stasis Snare is the best answer to Mardu, catching flying vehicles, Glory Bringer, Avacyn, and Gideon, where any other card in white just isn't as reliable. Skysovereign is another card that's supposed to be good in general, being able to Bolt Gideon, block all the other creatures, and ping off the little guys. Can't see any room for it though.

Come on people, follow the rules!
- 2. When you post, you must offer feedback on the deck posted immediately before yours (leave the feedback on that deck's page). This feedback needs to be genuine; "Cool deck" replies don't count. Try to be as helpful as possible.
This is the second time I posted for feedback and the person after me doesn't even look at the deck.

I cut Wanderer a long time ago. As a 1/1 it didn't seem effective in any capacity, and I don't have any concerns about the post-Gift boardstate. If Gift didn't die before handing out an eternal, I'm fine.

I left my feedback on that deck. I concur it will probably beat Red Deck regularly. Reposting my deck, as nobody here bothered to give any input last time.

Still looking for a better way to handle aggressive decks. Most recently got sliced up by Mardu vehicles.

20 land is not greedy but Evolving Wilds is just weaker than your other options. Deck thinning is extremely minimal, and having a tapped land instead of an untapped is not minimal. If you stick to that concept, Desert of the True would be better than Evolving Wilds.
What you want instead is mana sinks so that if you do draw too many lands you can spend that. Shefet Dunes is a better alternative.
Sideboard, I would strongly consider having Repel the Abominable. Leave looks like a fine card for many situations (bounce and recast Thalia's Lieutenant maybe?), but Repel is much more aggressive. Shuts down Sweltering Suns and Hour of Devastation, or makes you completely victorious in combat, or stop you from taking damage from whatever the opponent is doing so you can keep attacking.
Other than that, deck looks fine!
