stewa238: There is no more 4-color Saheeli deck. Banned 5pm last night.

Okay, Copycat isn't a thing anymore. The cat leaves behind a solid midrange deck that I think we can overpower if we carefully use our removal.

That actually sounds quite good. Still highly recommend Hidden Stockpile. It's proved extremely powerful for me in Revolting Aristocrats.

My hope is to achieve a deck competitive with Copycat and Vehicles. Regarding Copycat, we have Manglehorn to prevent the combo until that's killed, and counterspells and instant removal. We also have card advantage to compare with theirs, mana advantage that far exceeeds theirs, and creatures who can compete. Not sure that's enough, but it's a start with some promising edges that can be enhanced by improving the cards here.
Regarding Vehicles, Manglehorn will be excellent to take care of Heart but otherwise we simply need to stall. Limit the value of their removal, the amount of damage taken from their creatures, and get to a place where our card and mana advantage and their relative lack leads to a place where we can take over. Again, I need to improve the card quality to get there.

Interesting, but strange as well. I'm not clear 4 colors is justified. The removal seems limited with only 4 Fatal Push, and nothing to kill more expensive stuff and only Tamiyo to help out. You also don't have anything that's good at blocking (except Heart), and then there's Key/Map/Terrarion/Oath/Growth which all do rather little for combat. That's a lot of cards in that role.
The saving grace is that you have a lot of card advantage with Crane, Rallier, Scrapheap all getting you more than one thing, and a lot of your other spells also getting you extra stuff.
So yeah, I really am not sure what to make of it. If you stick to 4 colors, you might want to try Hidden Stockpile. Of all your cards I normally would cut Renegade Map but maybe you need it for artifact and color-fixing reasons.
And maybe you'd get inspiration from my Tamiyo deck: Free Stuff Midrange

Unburden is an extremely bad card to be randomly casting on yourself. You'd be much better off with something that discards for value, like a Noose Constrictor.

I like it!
That Archfiend seems fiendish but you need more cycling or discard if you really want that card to work. Haunted Dead for example could work. Ruthless Sniper. Diabolic Tutor doesn't belong here. If you're really intent on Archfiending, go with 4 Channeler Initiate.

Bone Picker! This card is perfect in here. My creatures are always dying, so we now have a 3/2 flying deathtouch for 1. Which will help to deal with enemy flyers.

Hm, you might be right. I think the reason scrapheap wasn't in there is because this deck starts life in defensive mode -- well, depending on who the opponent is -- and Scrapheap doesn't defend. But it is totally value for sure. Narnam meanwhile is an excellent defender, so I'd need to replace something other than that.
Well, we'll see how the meta shapes up. Maybe all my other minions are good enough on defense and a Scrounger taking to attacks is good offense.

You MUST try Vizier of the Menagerie. It is so good with Nissa. You get to look at the top card and cast it with Nissa, or if it's not a creature you can scry it away with Nissa, find a creature and cast it off of Menagerie. And if you just have a pile of creatures on top, you can just cast them all with your Menagerie.

Like the deck idea. Disagree with Gideon's Intervention and Compulsory Rest and Toolcraft Exemplar. The combo hate you want are Thalia and Manglehorn. I would scrap Prowling Serpopard. Duskwatch Recruiter is a good option.

Maybe Ondu Champion? I dunno, I'm more inclined to play something other than Neheb myself.

Well, I tried it and it worked, beating a Second Sun control deck, but it really needs better sideboard for that. As in a bunch more counterspells. But boy was it tedious. Cycle, draw a card, make a drake, the drake gets killed, the enchantment is removed, lets see if we can find another way to do some damage. Got down to 10 cards in deck before the game ended.

I was thinking, are there any Minotaurs to go with Neheb? He seems kind of lonely with nobody to pump up.
April 17, 2017 9:23 p.m.
Sorry Argeaux, I didn't mean to insult you. And your feedback is great.
April 17, 2017 9:21 p.m.
Hey thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated.
I admit I hadn't put too much thought into mana balance. That definitely needs to change. I dropped to 22, because it seemed to work better that way, but I'm not 100% on that choice. Like with 4 Oath of Nissa it seems there's plenty of lands. I think the original didn't have Oath.
I never ran into a minotaurs deck so far, or Neheb. How's it working for you? I like the idea of hasting it with Hanweir Battlements.
Of course you're right Neheb doesn't care about Narnam, which means I'm going to be aiming Declaration in Stone at it. Or Immolating Glare, yeah that seems like a good idea.

I found this list and tweaked it. It seems really good! If you like drawing cards and casting spells, this deck is all about that.
