Got a deck you would like me to build? A card to build around? Let me know, I will see what I can do.Note: I am a control player so I am better when it comes to building those but midrange isn't too hard to make.

Hey everyone and welcome to my profile. I have been playing magic for a while I guess. Theros was a little while back. I started deck building a couple years ago and although aggro is not my specialty I would say I am pretty solid control player (as you can see from my list of decks lol)... so I know pretty much how to stall, win, survive etc. Enjoy the decks and hope you try them out.

For the other suggestions, Gideon is good yes. I just like the set up I have atm. And baral does come out it some matchups. Thing in the ice is always a good include when against aggro and Baral does fall off. So I'm excited to keep playing this deck. 2 4-0s and a 3-1 in my last 3 fnms. So I'll take the win. Been playing against new perspectives, red black drain, green black counters and zombies. Been working well. Also does well vs aetherworks marvel.

kmach1ne I have found Baral super good. Being able to look for your win condition or a needed board clear has always been needed. Also having the 2 mana counter spell and sometimes a 1 mana counter spell has been really doing work. Also being able to crush for less mana is insane. Getting that token out wins games... period. So I think Baral is one of the better cards in the deck.

ROUROU I tested this idea and found that although yes, Walking Ballista is normally a better card, casting Endless One for 1 then bouncing with crush into a next turn 7/7 Endless One worked pretty well in my favor. So in saying. I am most likely going to throw in 2 to 3 copies of this card but I have to test further.

Also, I think Thing in the Ice  Flip is an auto include in sideboards like this.

Hey man... so this sounds really bad, but I feel every deck running Wandering Fumarole should at least be running one (maybe two) Crackdown Construct in the board because against control decks that do not run very many creatures this infinite combo can just ttk your opponent. In games vs. midrange this card just counts as an infinite blocker.

AiryNeon I thought about planes walkers in this deck but I don't think Dovin Baan would be the answer. If anything, running Jace would be. Gideon of the Trials is so expensive so I don't know if I would run it, but I can see it being played as a 2 of in the board for sure. Angel of Sanctions to be honest seems kind of bad, but thats just me. I could be undervaluing the card a lot more than I think. This deck is not supposed to have the best G1 vs. control... yeah it wins a lot with Approach of the Second Sun vs. control, but its match-up G1 is supposed to be better vs. Aggro/Midrange decks. But I do always love the suggestions and hope to get more.

VraskaTheCursed Yeah I thought about that card for sure, I just do not know what to take out for it. I could take out the Glares but I just do not know, if you can name a card I would do it in a heartbeat though.

JakeHarlow after further testing, it had a tough 1-2 vs a U/B control list and was one draw short of the second cast of Approach of the Second Sun. This deck is pretty bad sometimes game 1 against control depending on the opponents list but it makes up for it in game 2 and 3 most of the time. Game 1 against vehicles is normally really good, also against midrange lists. Obviously if you go against a swarm the board aggro list and you do not draw your Censors or other counterspells then you have a hard time. Drawing fumigate on curve is also pretty good. But game 2 you just side in your other Immolating Glares and you win from there. Been doing pretty well in testing, but my Esper Sun list also has some pretty good games... if you want to check that out. It is just a bit more expensive.

Yeah man, its not a bad deck at all. Personally, I think any control deck not running blue is bad... thats just me people have proven me wrong in the past for sure. Keeping it R/B is good though, because of the removal. I don't think you need skysovreign to be honest, and the gearhulk isnt bad. But mindwrack demon is... I know its possible to play it and not lose life, but if you are playing mindrack you definitely want to be able to cast it consistently turn 4 and not kill yourself. So, imo, maybe add green and make it a more Delerium shell.
