Welcome to My Nonexistent YouTube Channel!

What we do here:

I build budget EDH/Standard/Modern builds that range from casual to FNM playable as well as some expensive modern builds that I hope to purchase in the future.

My Favorite Archetype

Over the few years I have played Magic, I have never really chosen a central archetype. I've gone from modern burn to elves to control to standard midrange decks and back again. In commander, I love decks that can turn you into the archenemy within a few turns, and pump out threats for a fantastic combat in which I one-shot two plus players. In modern and standard though, I have decided to play decks with a lot of disruption (Control, Burn, Simic Flash) and instant-speed plays. I hope this kind of covers what I am going for when I post decks (although there will be some clear exceptions), so feel free to comment suggestions on any decks you feel need work.

Modern:

Control on a budget

MUCH ELVES

Mono Red Budget Burn

Commander EDH:

Here is a link to a similar build that might help you upgrade this deck a bit.

Maybe substitute Mind Stone or Commander's Sphere for izzet keyrune as they both give you an easier way to draw cards in early turns.

Try running Gitaxian Probe over one of your card-draw enchantments.

Also, here is a link to my Kykar commander deck, which uses a similar strategy with cantrips.

Murderous Rider and adventure creatures are perfect counters to teferi, so I doubt we'll be seeing much of him anymore in standard (hopefully).

I think cutting eye collectors will help the list a lot, especially if you replaced them with 2 more murderous riders, 1 more rankle, and 1 more disfigure/duress.

Lovestruck Beast is in there mostly because it can produce a chump blocker on turn 1, which is good against cards like Robber of the Rich , and a larger blocker in the late game, acting as a pseudo wildgrowth walker, which helped past golgari decks stabilize very quickly against aggro. I feel like it can be a staple in green midrange decks, as I have already tested it out in my Gruul midrange deck, and it performed quite well against my mono black aggro build.
