fragarach97 Deckling

Welcome to where creativity comes to flourish and net decking comes to die! I play for the reason people should play in the first place: to have fun and go flex my creative muscles in the decks I build! I'm a dedicated white-mage and, though white/red suits my personality very well, white/blue seem to be the colours I play together the most. My play style can be best summed up as aggressive control, I pin your arm to the ground with one hand and beat the life out of you with the other! Any and all criticism is welcome (as I am still pretty fresh to the game), but keep in mind I'm not made of money and my goal is to have fun with my friends, not lose them!

If you find yourself going more in the Kraken/Leviathan direction, I'd recommend trying Quest for Ula's Temple.

A funny toy i love in Nekusar is Phyresis. He's a douchd already, so why not make him even more so? With Phyresis, just one or two wheels will put each opponet in the ground. Better yet, you won't care about the Oloro or Ayli players stupidly high life total.

No problem! One card I completely forgot to mention is Urza's Incubator. Very strong card that really gets your deck in gear.

Yo, huge fan of Angel's here and I've got some recommendations for you.

I see that your deck is largely centered around lifegain as well, if that's the case there's no reason not to run Baneslayer Angel and her little sister Gisela, the Broken Blade. Big Angels with lifelink? Awesome! I can attest to the fact that Baneslayer is a beating and a half.

My next recommendation would be to run a second colour, namely green as Angels are expensive and green is the ramp colour. Things like Explore, Sylvan Caryatid, and Birds of Paradise both help you ramp early. Now the best payoff Angel if you're running green is Sigarda, Host of Herons. She is so much more powerful than her SoI counterpart and is really tough to kill. Resolve her early with any of the ramp I listed and your opponent is in for a nightmare.

Now there are many more Angels I can reccomend, so let's do just that.

If you can afford her, Linvala, Keeper of Silence really hoses down lots of strategies and her OGW counterpart Linvala, the Preserver can get you right back in a game you're losing.

Angel of Sanctions, Angel of Serenity, and Admonition Angel all have powerful Oblivion Ring style effects that clear blockers or threats for the rest of your team. Angel of Serenity in particular is a massive swing and will often win games on her own.

If you need recursion (and it's never a bad thing to have), Bruna, the Fading Light really surprised me with how good she is and wins the game almost instantly if you can meld her with Gisela.

Now, if you're doing this then you should for sure go up on lands, 23-24 would be fine and works for my Angel deck. Also, if you insist on being mono-white then Endless Horizons is a hysterical card that fixes the problem ofndrawing lands late game and gives you a steady supply of them.

If you want more ideas, check out my Angel deck, Whom God Loves. Have a nice one!

I actually run a similar deck that's all-in on layering Auras on top of Geist. The best Aura to put on him, that also happens to be my favourite card in Magic, is Steel of the Godhead. Not only does it make Geist unblockable, but +2/+2 and Lifelink? How about yes? In my meta Geist of the Godhead wins games on the spot if unanswered.
