bluechandra First don't get me wrong it's a great card but not for standard. Your first question it does work well with thing but you have to pay basically 4 mana and have a Thing in the Ice Flip on the field to copy. It's an option but I personally don't like it, it can't do anything for me turn 3 were at least Solemnity can stop almost all tier one decks from gaining advantage over me. After writing this I think it could be good in certain decks but It takes to much to get the card up and running and it uses a lot of mana. If I had multiple game changing cards that could benefit from mirage mirror I would put it in the deck. But without thing it becomes to expensive to do almost nothing with it. Plus if I don't have Thing in the Ice Flip on the battlefield turn 2 then you can't use the combo until turn 5. Because then if you cast Thing in the Ice Flip turn 4 you don't have enough mana to copy him and cast an instant or sorcery. At least with Solemnity it slows down all the energy and +1+1 counter snake decks, then it also lets me flip TITI on turn four. Yes I get mirage mirror can copy creatures and stuff but it would be very situational that I would want to copy the enemy creature to block or something because I will be at risk of loosing the mirror. I feel like paying 5 mana overall to copy a creature and loose it to a trade in battle is worse then just Immolating Glareing it to death. It just seems like a bad investment when I already have so many ways to get rid of creatures and flip Thing in the Ice Flip. Again I think the card would be great if there were multiple cards to benefit from the mirror but there just isn't.

bluechandra sorry I took awhile to respond, so I think mirage mirror is a great card for formats like commander, I think in standard paying 3 mana for an artifact that does nothing unless I already have Solemnity on the field seems useless. it takes to much to get online and requires a steady flow of precious mana to keep going. Sadly Thing in the Ice Flip doesnt autoflip you have to cast an Instant/Sorcery every time you make a copy.

Buufreak you are correct, I put that in the description. That is why I filled the deck with 2 drop delay cards. Like Immolating Glare and Blessed Alliance. This is so on their turn four you can kill a creature transform Thing and send all their creatures back to their hands.oh also Anticipate Would work to flip.

Geo67 Gideon can get counters its just players creatures, artifacts, enchantments or lands. This does stop energy gain, and G/B counters both of which are tier 1 decks in standard so pretty nice! And yeah that pesky fatal push such a nuisance, I think I am going to put Turn Aside in the sideboard against decks with Fatal Push.
