Hey, just read your comment, and i realised that you were right. whenever i play with friends i usually go 3 turns without really playing anything. Any red or white creatures that i should put in?

Thanks for the suggestions Chandrian! You made me realize standard was a bit faster than i made this deck, so your recommendations help me with that a little I believe. So thank you! For now though, I'm gonna maybe board Die Young because I can't for the life of me figure out what to cut for it. XD

Be sure to come back and check the deck out again at a later time! I'm gonna keep working on I think and taking other's suggestions into account too.

-War-Name Aspirant can be played turn two right after you attack, which makes her a nice 3/2 for only two mana, and* she can't be blocked by most defenders or flimsy tokens.

-Devoted Retainer is a smooth turn 1 drop with that sweet bushido mechanic.

-Boros Recruit is great because he can be cast with either of your mana colors, and has first strike, which can come in handy if he gets blocked right off the bat.

-Legion Loyalist sneaks in 1 damage with haste before your opponent even gets a chance to block, and later on in the game he can give several other of your creatures both first strike and trample.

In the deck editing page, change the format to "Modern." Right now you have it set as "Standard" but the deck isn't standard legal.
Nip Gwyllion, it's cheap, can be cast with either basic land, can be buffed turn 2, and has lifelink! I think you could possibly replace Ajani's Sunstriker with her. She cost less than Sunstriker, still has lifelink, and can hit the board a turn faster.

That's probably a good idea huh XD. I just threw this deck together from some new Kaledesh cards, I hadn't even thought about trying to make two more streamlined decks over one deck, and that goes in hand with whatna previous commenter mentioned, that I was focusing on several strategies at once.

The input is greatly appreciated! I think I'll have a run through this deck and change it up a lot and start tossing another deck together. Cheers!

@Snivy__, I'll consider it. Taking out two land though worries me, maybe it's just my old memories of being mama screwed. But yeah, I'll run some playtests with 2 less and see how it goes, thanks!

@Applesauce_Magician, I like those cards, so I went ahead and put them in my maybeboard. I think I like the idea of focusing on being an energy deck, the question is though, if it's worth keeping green in or not.

This deck is, well, difficult to suggest how you should improve it. I can see it is an Aggro deck, but you don't have any turn 1 board presence, or even turn 2 board presence, and that's something you really need if you wanna get your opponent to 0 show quickly as possible, which is what Aggro wants. I think you have to many high casting cost creatures, you should slim down the team of elgendaries, and instead insert more lower costing creatures that work great with a smaller number of kegendaries, rather than have several legendaieres that don't necessarily go together.

@Schar17, no you're right, the deck lacks consistency. Keep in mind, I built this deck from a Kaledesh fat pack I bought, so I was really limited in card choice.

That being said though, I'd love to hear any suggestions on how to make it more consistent. Like what creatures and such do you feel work for my demon the best? Or any standard suggestions? I know pretty much nothing about shadow over innistrad or the eldritch moon sets, do you?

I didn't take into account Doorkeeper's ability to mill, I just remembered he was a relriable and inexpensive defender money wise, for only 2 mana. Whatever floats ya boat though :)

I also think you'd be better off running two Tome Scours in place of the two Evanescent Intellect. They have the same mana cost so you're good on not changing the curve.

You only have 10 creatures in the deck, 4 of which already have activated abilities that make your opponent mill, those being the Ministers. That leaves 6 creatures that you can enchant with Evanscent, but you only have 2 Evanscent so the chances of even getting to use it are even slimmer. And it looks like you wanna bounce those other 6 creatures of yours to get them to trigger multiple times, so that enchant would fall off anyway. Just seems like you're barely gonna see any practical use out of Evanscent. Just my thoughts though, they could be wrong, they usually are. Good luck!

Maybe cut back on 2 Islands, and run 2 Doorkeepers in heir stead? Offers more defense, and just a few more 2 drops and 2 less land won't have an impactful effect on your mana curve.

Plated Crusher sure is a pretty penny to look at, but for a 7 drop it's a pretty lack luster beat stick. Take a look at Eternity Vessel. Not only is it more mana effiecent for costing one less and requiring no specific colors to cast, but it gives your deck a safety net of sorts, almost like a refresh button for your life total if you make the mistake of not leaving blockers open one turn.

A few other cards you could take a look at that might fit into your deck somewhere are Khalni Heart Expedition, Lotus Cobra, Seer's Sundial, Zektar Shrine Expedition, and Undergrowth Champion. I actually think Undergrowth could be a good replacement for Atarka. Of course these could go into the sideboard, or don't use Any at all. Just thought they kinda could fit in ya know. @enpc, I'm assuming the site's accordions and panel syntax would be the best way to structure any descriptions for decks I add to the site? I see a lot of that on several featured builds. And I will most certainly take your advice of steadily offering help to others, thanks for the tips.

@Atony1400 and clayperce, thank you both for the advice. It probably would be a good idea for me to get a sense of what people are using in modern and standard right now huh, I've been out of card shops and magic games for a few years now.

@DevoidMage, I've spent some more time reviewing the different mechanics of the site and several tools available. I think practice is all I need know, I have a handle on most of the features. Thanks much, and cheers.

I know what some of you are thinking, that there are plenty of resources already on the site that help teach and guide new users. Well sure, and I've already read all those. I'd just appreciate a down to earth explanation of how a casual hack, like myself, might be able to excel on this platform (and by that I mean in the sense of assistance to others) despite having forgotten most of my old skill at magic.
