WELCOME TO THE LAND EVERY JOHNNY WANTS TO SEE!

Huloo! The name's Runlue (in case you somehow didn't see it at the top of the screen there (or in case you couldn't read through the weird font thing)) and I'm one of the craziest Johnny's you're ever going to meet. Not only am I into weird, janked up decks, I'm also a very fun, loveable dude, guy thing.

I came into this world longing for a purpose. A purpose in... doing things. MTG has helped me come closer to learning what that purpose i- okay I have no idea what my life is, so I play MTG. That seem fair? Good, because that seems pretty good to me.

It's also very fun.

sings These are a fewww of my faaavorite thingsTITS....... To those of you who don't know, that's a reference to a guy named Gavin Free. He's a cool guy.

Okay, enough about me, that got a bit long. But hopefully that gives you guys an idea of who I am and what I like. Make sure to check out my decks (I've had 3 in the top 3 on the site, but that doesn't mean anything anyways apparently, so WHO CARES!? :D) and give them a +1 if you enjoy them. I'm always looking for new ideas, so if you have one, give me a shout! I prefer brewing and jank decks, so that should narrow your list a bit. Thanks for reading and have some fun on this beautiful site!

Also, shoutout to FAMOUSWATERMELON for making this sweet card for me! I WUV IT.

Oh, and pickles are gross.

sadboys2002 I feel like a 4th Clifftop Retreat would be extremely helpful, but I have an issue with going up to a playset of the Vantage, and that being that there's a chance mid-game that it's a dead draw to me, being a tapped land. Also, I want to stay as low on the land count as possible, especially since this is an aggro deck. The highest CMC card in the mainboard is 3, and 23 lands seems like a massive amount. I haven't had very many issues with the landbase in the past, and it seems to be in a nice spot right now. Thank you for the feedback!

firefox1413 If you play this against control, just concede. I haven't found a good balance in the sideboard yet for the control matchup, and we DIE to spot removal. Vraska's Contempt is too popular right now in the meta, but if your venue is low on control, this deck can come out of nowhere fast. Against other budget=heavy decks, this one does substantially better as far as I can see. My favorite thing about this deck is how stupid it can get so early, whether it be from the massive armies Valduk can create, or the stupid big Champions we can get. Overall, it's a ton of fun to play!

sadboys2002 I've been playtesting this deck quite a lot, and the landbase doesn't seem to be that big of an issue. Are there any recommendations you have to make it more consistent?

Purple_Mage Thanks a ton for your suggestions!

  1. I agree, I have generally stayed away from equipments in the past for that exact reason, but since I don't have any viable 1-drops, the slowness of them for this deck doesn't seem to be there. Danitha has actually proven to be one of the most powerful creatures in this deck. I picked her for the cost reduction on her body, but I'm keeping her as a 2/2 FS/V/L. That alone makes her a prime target for equipment and auras. She also does amazing against smaller decks on her own.

  2. This Cartouche was actually considered when I made the first draft, and it could end up in later, but for right now, I'm happy with the auras already in.

  3. SHeltering Light is a card I totally forgot about. I may actually put this in instead of the bodyguard, as it doesn't require me having to play my guys so much later, like how the bodyguard does. Thanks a ton for this!

  4. I agree with you here. I am still playtesting the right maount of Sram here, but I might go up to 3 just because his ability is so great in this deck.

  5. Although you make a great point about the extra aura for Sram, I just absolutely love Seal Away, it is just way too good of a card to not have. I might run the Rest in the sideboard though in the case of decks running guys with vigilance though.

Again, thank you so much for the suggestions!

RedMan929 The Blackblade seems like such a fun equipment, but to me, it seems very slow with a 3 cost equip, and it is very win-more. Thanks for the suggestion though!

GoblinsBeatElves The Procession definitely seems like a very fun card, but I really feel like it is super win-more. It's definitely an option in more midrange Valduk decks, but I want to try and keep this as low to the ground as possible. I appreciate the suggestion, and heck, maybe this deck ends up midrangey near the end, who knows!
