I enjoy winning? Haha, who doesn't, right? I've been playing off and on since '93 where I ran into MtG being played at the store I shopped for Superman comics. I played a green deck filled with awesome looking creatures that was later gifted to me for winning my first game of Magic.

These days I only play casual with my friends who've also been playing forever. Mainly because we have a lot of older cards that we assume we couldn't play in store, but also because it's an excuse for us to hang out, maybe get a little rowdy, and have a good time.

I've developed a reputation in my playgroup for "setting the bar" with some of my better deck builds. It's earned me a bit of animosity when we play, but it's also making my group better players, IMHO. I'll often suggest combos to help someone's new build or point out weaknesses and try to offer ways to cover that gap.

At the end of the day, I enjoy MtG because it allows me to be tactically creative in how a win is secured. I enjoy the creative process when building a deck and then refining it after it's been played a few times to really streamline it's playstyle.
