InfuriatedBrute Deckling

For anyone who's looking at my decks: I have a lot more under the "All Decks" category, these are just the current ones I play on Xmage.

I brew decks before prerelease, play them on Xmage.

Nope, this is not a strong deck. Lifelink hasn't been strong in standard for a while, it's much much better to play a lifelink-weenie hybrid. Sunmare Monument

Fun casual I guess.

Lone Rider is good in pure lifegain decks.

But Pure Lifegain is too weak. It's better to just alter the current monowhite deck to be slightly more lifegain-oriented so it can activate Sunmare.

Oh no, this deck isn't going to be top-tier. It's a 2-card combo, like Saheeli Felidar, except it doesn't win the game, it just does 7 damage and wipes the board.

That said a solemnity deck might be somewhere on the top 20. Stuff like Channeler Initiate. But it's a bit awkward since you want to drop your 2-mana cards after your 3-mana card.

And yeah, white has been a very strong color for a long time, and though blue is weak it is necessary for most control decks.

Oh, and Fairgrounds Warden is a less Journey, yes, but Journey would be an extremely strong card for standard. Instead, think of it as a Stasis Snare that:

1) Is more easily removed

2) Can block a bit

3) Synergizes with things that activate when you cast creature spells

I was talking about my current list, which may or may not be relevant to you. I also tried Sunmare Cats but it was too slow.

I do like Authority of the Consuls with Sunmare, could be competitive with a different metagame and/or more focused lifegain deck. But for now it seems subpar.

Yeah I made the minor miscalcuation of missing the "WITHOUT PAYING ITS MANA COST" text on Torrential Gearhulk.

Green trial is very very strong. It's a 4/2 that can be casted multiple times; also triggers Lambholt and Rhonas. Meanwhile blue trial is very overcosted. Green cartouche is alright in the right matchup, destroy a creature then buff it. But much better than the black cartouche which can only destroy snakk creatures.

Ew, no. Panharmonicon is only going to double the ETB effects, which will typically mean "destroy one creature".

Thing is, the more gearhulks in your GY the better GFG gets.

July 8, 2017 7:03 p.m.

Actually, Noxious Gearhulk might be more efficient than Torrential in this deck. Gearhulk with a destroy > gearhulk with a push and flash that costs 2 more and only works conditionally?

God-Pharaoh's Gift is perfect for a Refurbish deck.

This is Casual, not Standard. Standard is the format that only allows cards made in the past two years or so.

July 8, 2017 6:33 p.m.

Interesting. But it seems like you're running bad cards to make a good card better. I think sunmare is more appropriate for a mono-white monument deck.

And fumigate doesn't have great synergy with sunmare, but it's still okay.

I find RG Trials to be better, but more importantly, trials were not viable before HOU and HOU adds nothing to them so they won't be competitive.

Seems like a reasonable concept, could use some tuning like more 2-drops remove Eternal of Harsh Truths, add cryptbreaker.

Forsake, Fragmentize, Cast Out are all enchantment hate. But Negate and Transgress the Mind would also be used against a deck like this.
