Thanks! I agree, faithless looting let's us do something on turn one, and then has a flashback. I'd call it a direct upgrade. As for the summoning sickness/Mirran spy question, it's been my experience that you can't play banishing knack on zephyr scribe the first turn you get him out, delaying the combo by a turn. But with Mirran Spy, you can play him and then hit reckless fireweaver with banishing knack, and use Mirran Spy's ability to untap it.

Looks good! I've got to ask though, why not include Elusive Spellfist instead of Hermetic Study? It is the namesake of the original deck after all, and having a variety of cards in this deck might make it harder for someone else to have the correct removal. Plus, it's just an awesome name. :D

Love this deck! I bought all the cards and have played several games with it. When it goes off, it wins, but I sometimes had a hard time getting the cards I needed. I modified my deck in an effort to balance the colors and make it more consistent, and I'd love to know what you think.

Thanks ShotgunCrocodile! I checked the deck you reccomended, it's good! I added dictate of Erebos because of it, since I had one that I wasn't using too much in my Meren deck, and it's much more useful in place of Grave Betrayal here.
As for Marchesa's ability, it clearly says "the next end step" not "your next end step" so it really does trigger on everyone's turn. So your brother's deck is even more powerful than he realizes!
