Sorin, Solemn Visitor is easily the best planeswalker for this archetype, but with the new planeswalker uniqueness rules... I'd take an Elspeth/Gideon on the battlefield over another Sorin in my hand. I'm still on the fence about running more Bitterblossom, its a damn good card but it does the same job as Elspeth, Knight-Errant, and Sorin, Lord of Innistrad... and those cards don't force you to lose a life each turn... which can really start to hurt if you play more than 1 and/or the match turns into a long slugfest.

You sure you wanna run 4 Dark Confidant in a deck with 8 cards 4cmc or higher and no lifegain...?

dzapf2008 Doomed Traveler is good BECAUSE it gives you a spirit. Mainboard the only flying creature you have is Ravenous Demon Flip. For 1 mana Doomed Traveler a human you can block with/sacrifice AND a 1/1 flyer you can block with.

dzapf2008 Westvale Abbey Flip has won me 1 game. lol. In all honesty a lot of the time you're better off with 5 2/2s than 1 9/7, especially if your opponent is in white. Path to Exile is the most played card in modern and a lot of players will hold onto it if they're against tokens, especially if they see Westvale Abbey Flip and then you essentially wiped your own board.
This deck tends to win with a steady beat down where Intangible Virtue+Bitterblossom/Legion's Landing/Vault of the Archangel/The Planeswalkers let me out value my opponent over time. This plus the hand disruption means that the deck plays a lot more like midrange beatdown than the swarm aggro most token decks go for. (Although it can pop off and just swarm with some lucky draws). Long story short the deck doesn't really have any 'win cons' its more of a collective effort, ergo Westvale Abbey Flip rarely wins it.
I looked at your deck at like it a lot!
I'd recommend cutting Thraben Doomsayer, Death Cultist, Anointed Procession, and going down to 2 copies of Increasing Devotion so you can run 4x Doomed Traveler, and some combination of draw and Sorin, Solemn Visitor. Also I'd recommend playing Path to Exile over Bone Splinters.
Athreos, God of Passage is amazing in your list, and Ravenous Demon Flip is, as always, dope as fuck and extra spicy. I think these changes (especially Doomed Traveler) will help you get more out of both cards. Also you may wanna look at your mana base, if nothing else try Vault of the Archangel. That card puts in work.

rofl derp, forget Tasigur, the Golden Fang I'm embarrassed I mentioned it.
Liliana, the Last Hope is good because it gets back Soulfire/Bob, and because her ult wins games.
Also if you cut Bedlam Reveler you have enough lifegain to safely run Dark Confidant, and in a midrange/control deck like this he will often give you the card advantage and by extension the game. Just sucks he costs so much.

jaylawlerrr, in all honesty Shambling Vent has been neither good nor bad. It's a B/W land and thanks to Sram's Expertise you don't really get punished for it coming into play tapped turns 1-3. That said, I rarely ever activate it. It's good for chump blocking when you want to saving a flyer or something, but it's nothing compared to Vault of the Archangel or Windbrisk Heights. I would say I get about as much use out of them as I do Westvale Abbey Flip. That said, its not like there's a better choice that I'm aware of, if anything I would cut them for more basic lands to give the deck a better shot against Blood Moon.
In regards to Hanweir Militia Captain Flip it definitely looks like a good WIN-MORE card, but if you're in a pinch its just a vanilla 2/2 for 2 and I don't know how reliable it will be in modern... That said its got good synergy with Sram's Expertise... I'll have to think about it, but at this point I not sold.

You could improve it a lot just by optimizing the cards you have. For example, all your hand disruption cards can be replaced with a combination of Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, or even Collective Brutality. Researching, and finding the best version of each card can go a long way to improving any deck. Unfortunately, better cards tend to be more expensive, but if you can afford it you'll notice the difference.
Finally, as a general deck building rule for beginners: to start a deck out pick 9 cards that you'd like to base the deck around. Run 4 of each, + 24 lands and BAM deck. From there you can shuffle things around a bit (fewer high drops more low drops/more lands or less lands/Varying your removal). This helps trim the fat, creates a consistent deck, and gives you a nice starting point.
- Plague Stinger
- Unnatural Endurance
- Grotesque Mutation
- Victim of Night
- Molting Snakeskin
- Unholy Strength or Dark Favor
- 24 Swamp
Do your research, test it out, keep what works toss what doesn't. Always glad to see new players. Best of luck!

ndgipper Given your attitude I'm not gunna take the time to write a full response, since I doubt you'd care for a counter argument. However, I would like to remind you that 'the meta' varies from store to store and just because Zealous Persecution doesn't do well against Eldrazi Tron doesn't mean it doesn't do well against Affinity, Death's Shadow, and Junk.
Every card is give and take, except Leyline of Sanctity. lol.
