Colorschemer Deckling

I enjoy trying my hand at making some efficient combo-decks (and others), especially utilizing underused cards.

Most of the decks you'll see here are tricolored.

Your deck looks more spicy now than when I saw it the first time. The synergy Mirage Mirror looks to have with your deck overall is quite interesting, mainly with Pride Sovereign (and Procession as you've mentioned.) Still, isn't it a little risky to not run any form for removal mainboard?

Also, why Graceful Cat over Adorned Pouncer?

@Murphy77 I know what it does, I just feel Sacred Cat just doesn't do it for this deck in particular. It's only semi-focused on making 1/1 tokens to help stay in the game (it being more conservative, name might be a little inaccurate. Whoops?) Yours for example, being entirely based on the concept is built to benefit more from it. This is somewhat all-rounded and beatdown-focused, with buffs to amplify damage (especially with Adorned Pouncer) to win early, and a token-engine to pull through mid-late rather than to try flooding the board immediately.

Having a Metallic Mimic/Regal Caracal for any amount of time on the field is as you imply, up to chance. I've chosen to go with Lifecrafter's Bestiary over, say, another 2 Anointed Processions. It keeps the decks engine going somewhat similarly to what Zendikar Resurgent would do for yours. It's not a card that makes many tokens, but it potentially helps me draw what I need to make them, while tiring out my opponent.

Cheers for the comments, tho. I'll toss in a few thoughts on your deck too

@Jameskemp Longtusk Cub does scale well into the game, and the extra energy usually does help keep it alive. During playtesting I've tried with 3 Attune with Aether, but noticed it was better with 2 since it was too often ended up being a dead card in hand. I've included one Oath of Nissa instead to be able to pick a creature/walker instead.

There is nothing more satisfying than slamming a bunch of 4/4 doublestrike cats on the table with Anointed Procession. Although I've had some fun dropping a few to multiply my tokens, it becomes too heavy without any draw/discard to cycle out any surplusses. 3 could possibly work in such a scenario.

Blossoming Defense is just stupid good here, for the simple reason that a lot of people not always play around it. It's cheap protection for your creatures and your opponent might feel discouraged to attack/block (especially with Pouncer out.) 3-4 is good, but I'd want some removal/protection in place of any I take out.

Sacred Cat is something I'm conflicted about. It's a good blocker that keeps you alive against aggro, but it doesn't do much other than that. Under the right circumstances it can become a 4/4 for , but more often it would become a 1/1 since Mimics and Caracals are usually target for a lot of hate. So yeah, good against aggro (and definitely better alongside 3 Processions) but not much else here.
