Wormfang Manta and Roon

Asked by Enyeto 9 years ago

At the beginning of the end step, if I exile Wormfang Manta with Roon of the Hidden Realm, I will be able to take an extra turn. When it comes back into play on the next end step, if I exile it again--will these essentially cancel each other out or can it be continued to provide extra turns.

I'm not sure there is a difference between "Skip your next turn" and "Take an extra turn after this one"? Or would it be Turn Xa, Xb, Xc, Opponent's turn, then you skip yours in the normal rotation?

If you take an extra turn after this one, and skip your next turn, you'll skip the extra one you would have taken. Extra turns just queue up as they are generated, and skipped turns remove turns from that queue.

If you played it on turn X, you would skip your next turn. If we assume you skipped that turn, and several other turns have all gone by, if you exile it during your end step, you'll take an extra turn, then it will come back, causing you to skip your next turn. This is a net loss of 1 turn. You'd need to keep exiling it just to stay neutral in terms of turn order.

That's right along where I thought it would be. Figured I would need Strionic Resonator to continue extra turns, generating 2 extra turns to lose one of them and then generating two more causing a net gain.
